This was such a special experience. It is amazing what effect a sharing circle can have on the connection you feel the project group of people and on your own understanding of yourself. I have had so many insights and heard so many beautiful words it was almost hard to keep up writing them down in my journal. The food is so colorful and delicious; it's a treat every day to sit down at the table. And wow - the beauty of the nature of Tenerife has surprised me! If you have the chance to go to Akal, do so! (and invite your friends ;))

Akal became in just a few weeks a place that feels like home. It's is not a place centred just around the garden; the permaculture project is just a part of the amazing place which Akal is; here you can really get in touch with fantastic people and get to be part of an amazing community that will keep supporting you and help you the project, while being far from the chaos of the cities. Everyday I got the opportunity to feel part of the family and help around to keep the house moving and blooming. Words cannot describe the love I feel for this place❤️

Words are probably not enought to describe how amazing Akal is. It is a place that feels like home, and the people you meet feel like family. I learned a lot about a new way of life that makes you feel closer to nature and to the people around you. The routine is just the one of a dream life, and all the activities made me feel grounded and inspired. To me, this wasn't an average volunteering experience: Akal is a place where you have the possibility the project those around you, and how beautiful is that. I am extremely grateful for this experience, and I am looking forward to coming back!
