Sin duda tuvimos una gran experiencia con Marta y Jorge! La finca es un gran lugar para relajarse, conectar con la naturaleza y la cercanía con Bilbao facilita conocer la ciudad y alrededores de manera ágil. Además, el proyecto en sí te permite aprender mucho sobre sostenibilidad, construcción y los cuidados que requieren un lugar así. Los horarios siempre fueron respetados y las actividades fueron acorde a lo platicado. Por último y más importante, el tiempo de convivencia fue muy agradable y ambos siempre estuvieron preocupados por nuestro bienestar y comodidad. Esperamos poder volver! :)

I loved it! From the very first moment I felt welcomed and involved in the project. The tasks varied depending on the project, but in general physical work, willingness and ingenuity were required, which was very stimulating and enjoyable for me. I loved the natural and tranquil surroundings, and at the same time the proximity to the city center. The experience allows for a true cultural and social exchange. I really enjoyed sharing with Marta, Jorge and little Carmen, as well as with the other volunteers Ale, Caro and Gonzalo; together a cheerful and close-knit atmosphere was fostered. Marta, Jorge and the little Carmencita have been much more than hosts. I have had the luck to meet a Basque family with a huge heart, to learn from their culture and from their way of seeing life, something that as a tourist I would never have experienced. The tasks are varied and there is always time to discover Bilbao and its surroundings. But the most valuable part of this experience has been the human side: the conversations, the affection and the cultural exchange. I arrived as a volunteer and today I feel that I have an adoptive family here. In fact, I am so happy that I have decided to extend my stay. Come!❤

My experience as a volunteer was very positive: a comfortable room, delicious food. The tasks were clear, simple, and always as agreed, mainly supporting in construction, maintenance, and small renovations on a rural estate.
Thanks to Jorge and Marta for their trust, hospitality, and for making me feel part of the place from day one.

I am forever grateful to Marta, Jorge, and little Carmen for their hospitality and warm reception at their farm near Bilbao. They made the experience very special, including me in the field tasks: fencing for the sheep, work in the vegetable garden, construction of elements based on bioconstruction, all focused on conscious consumption and the reuse of materials. The exquisite lunches prepared by them, the conversations about cultural exchange, the collaborative life with their neighbor, and the information to get to know Bilbao, were a great learning experience for me, happy to see them again.
