I have left with lifelong friends and a place I will definitely go back and visit in the future. The working hours were flexible and the work was lots of fun! As volunteers we were looked after really well with great volunteer benefits. I highly recommend volunteering at the hostel!

An amazing place to spend your time! As soon as I came in I felt very welcome. They picked great volunteers and the managers are awesome. The owners will also come in often to have a beer with the guests, which is incredibly fun. Working is a good mix of actual work (which isn’t too difficult) and just having a laugh with guests. Would recommend this experience to anyone looking for a social hostel!

I had an awesome time volunteering at the hostel! From the shift managers to the other volunteers, everyone was super cool and fun to be around. The living quarters are excellent and well maintained and while the shifts may seem long, they go by quickly and are easy to make fun with the guest or other volunteers! The discounts at stays around the lake are a great bonus and you also get little discounts around pana at bars and eateries! Highly recommend this volunteering gig the vibe they create here is second to none.

The hostel was my first hostel experience and honestly one of the best parts of my trip. ❤️ I improved my English, practiced some Spanish with the staff, met amazing people, and made unforgettable memories. The views are stunning, the atmosphere feels like one big family, and the food is SO good (huge thanks to the kitchen team 🫶). If you're looking to meet people, have fun, and enjoy the backpacker vibe, this is the place. Just be aware it's quite party-oriented, which can feel a little intimidating at first if you don't drink but everyone does their best to include you. 😚😚

I had an incredible month volunteering in Panajachel. The lake is beautiful, the work is manageable, and the shifts are a great way to meet guests and connect with the staff. The highlight of my experience was definitely the people: I met amazing volunteers, some of whom became close friends and whom I miss dearly now that they've left, the staff were genuinely wonderful, especially Ellie and Mitch, who are the sweetest. I did have some difficulties with one manager and felt I was treated differently at times. I leave with unforgettable memories and friendships. I definitely recommend !!

I volunteered at the hostel for a month and had a cracking time! The hostel is social with regular activities and events, the staff and locals are super friendly and helpful. Everyone makes you feel welcome to the team! There is loads of places to visit around the lake, I would 100% recommend to anyone visiting 🫶🏼

What an experience! The hostel is so welcoming and social - you never not feel at home. The team and Kasey are wonderful - super flexible, extremely understanding and always down for a good time. The hostel has an extremely unique social vibe and you can understand why a lot of guests repeatedly come back here. Amazing perks are also available if you volunteer here (free states all across Guatemala & free events across the lake). Would definitely recommend recommended this experience given that it's in one of the best neighbourhoods on the lake as well!

I spent over a month volunteering at the hostel, and it was an unforgettable experience. The shifts were straightforward and very reasonable, and there are always managers on duty to help if needed.
