Casa Aprazível is a special place, with a family vibe that gives it a unique touch. The house, with its surreal look and airy spaces, lets you enjoy both the surreal landscape of Santa Teresa and find spaces of privacy and tranquility. The volunteer team is large and the tasks are simple, with rotating schedules in general; we have a breakfast service that is very complete. Taty, Bea, Mateus, Pablo are incredible people who greatly improve the experience, and Taz, the absolute princess and guardian of the pool, and everything you need to say that it is a very special place.

The accommodation is great. The house is cozy, comfortable, and makes you want to stay longer than planned. The managers are calm and friendly, the scheduled times are respected, and the volunteer team is helpful and responsible.
The breakfast is very good and the location in Santa Teresa helps a lot: there’s always something to do nearby
I felt warmly welcomed at the house, I would definitely come back!!! :)

La ca the hostel is a cozy place, with incredible views; it truly is a home, just as the hosts Gabriel and Tatti are lovely. Of course I extended more days and, in any case, I would return to this wonderful place. I met people from different countries and connected a lot with them. Thanks the hostel; now they are part of my family. 😊🤗🫶🫶❤️❤️ I love you all
Now they are like my family

An incredible spot, surrounded by nature, the neighborhood is divine and super touristy. I can't put into words the love I feel for the hostel. It's a family; they treated me exceptionally well from the first moment. Always willing to listen and offer the best. I'm leaving, but I know the doors are open for me to come back! I recommend to anyone who wants to get to know Rio. You'll find a flexible, loving, comfortable volunteer opportunity close to everything!

My stay at the hostel was very good, I felt at home from day one. Tati and Gabriel were always very pleasant and flexible with the house chores. The volunteers also welcomed me with a lot of affection and we formed a great team. The truth is I extended one more month because one month felt too short. I would 100% recommend coming to enjoy this experience!!

A Casa Aprazível was, for me, a crossing - one of those that touches you inside. I arrived not knowing where to go and found a welcoming embrace, especially in Tati, who sustains with love this idea of a possible family. I am grateful to the volunteers, to Gabriel, Matheus and Pablo — brothers I carry with me — to Bia and Mama, presences that make everything even more human and affectionate. Like any house under construction, there are challenges, lessons, and constant adjustments. It wasn't always easy, but it was true — and in truth, I grew. I leave more aware, more whole, and stronger. Grateful for what I lived and for what I leave behind. 🌻

It was my first experience and I really felt very comfortable. Although at the beginning I didn't understand Portuguese well, the hosts were always willing to speak with patience and to teach me, which helped me a lot to improve the language. I created very important bonds that I will always carry in my heart. As a point for improvement, I suggest reinforcing communication and the organization of the weekly schedules. It is a hostel in constant growth, that every day strives to be more comfortable. Thank you, Taty and Gabriel, for allowing me to accompany you.

My experience as a volunteer at Casa Aprazível was very positive and peaceful. The hostel has a pleasant atmosphere and is ideal for those looking for a relaxed volunteering experience.
The hosts, Tati and Gabriel, were always attentive, approachable, and willing to listen.
The tasks were simple and the weekly workload light, which allowed for a lot of free time.
As an area for improvement, I think there could be a bit more initial communication when explaining the tasks to new volunteers.
Overall, I recommend Casa Aprazível; it's a place I would definitely return to ❤️✨

I loved volunteering; it was the first time I did it. Tati made me feel at home, part of a family. I have many good memories of this experience. It was really a place that helped me discover myself and learn a lot, truly the essence of Santa Teresa and Rio de Janeiro. It is also a fair space, where there is respect and always openness to communicate with the managers (Gabriel and Tati). I think there could be more integration activities, but even so, during the time I spent there I managed to meet amazing people. Mobility in Santa Teresa is a little complicated, but the neighborhood makes up for it.
