I am truly amazed by this wonderful place. The nature, the balance of work and rest, the magnificent food, and the beautiful accommodation. And most importantly, the atmosphere - it's great. There were busy days, for example when the hotel was fully booked. I am vegan and I am especially grateful that there was always wonderful vegan food available. I thank the hotel management for giving me the opportunity to restore my strength and heal from the emotional burnout that happened to me in the city. And I am very happy for the experience I gained here. I recommend this place to everyone

The experience as a whole was very rewarding. Aleksandar and Biljana are brilliant hosts! If you're travelling as a couple, you can have a private room, which is really important and rewarding after a busy day's work. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. In the town, there are plenty of walking routes you can take to get out into nature. I'd recommend this experience to any traveller coming from a big city who wants to relax. Thank you to everyone at Maglian. It was a very pleasant stay and I'd definitely like to come back one day.

I really enjoyed my experience! Aleksandar and Biljana were attentive and communicated clearly. Housekeeping was a bit more intense than in other volunteering experiences, but the tasks were well-organized, the 6-hour workday was respected, and I think it was worth it for what we received in return
We had a private guest room, breakfast and dinner every day. We were even invited to lunch when groups were there! The surrounding nature is beautiful. There are two supermarkets in town, but no other stores, so make sure to bring essentials like clothes and medicine.

I had an amazing experience at Maglian. The family behind the hotel is incredible and from the very beginning they make you feel completely at home. I also loved the community around the place I had the opportunity to meet local families and businesses, have great conversations and learn much more about Serbian culture.
Everything is very clean, the amenities are excellent and the food is delicious. Divčibare is also the perfect place to disconnect from busy life and enjoy nature. I would definitely love to come back during a different season. Highly recommended! 🙌🏼

I had a really great experience volunteering here. Aleksandar and Biljana treated me very well, and all the staff were kind and welcoming. Most don't speak English, but they were always gentle and made an effort to communicate. The work was chill, and the working hours and shifts were always respected. Biljana was always helpful with any doubts and tasks. The other volunteers were also very nice. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the meals were excellent. Overall, I felt very welcome and well taken care of. I definitely recommend this experience!

We spent two incredible weeks in Divčibare with the amazing Maglian Forest the lodge team! Our tasks were organising and leading group hikes through stunning pine forests, assisting with housekeeping tasks. After a few minor communication hiccups, we built a great working relationship with management. Our accommodation was superb, and the dining was out of this world—truly the best food we had in the Balkans, thanks to Zoran and his team. It was an honour to connect with lovely volunteers, passionate hikers and create unforgettable the lodge memories! We hope to be back some day.
