This experience was awesome! Hani was super helpful when it came to explaining the customs and culture of the locals. His witty humor and positive outlook really made me feel at home. As far as the organization goes, the staff were very friendly and the students were super excited to say hi. Our accommodations were good, and we were provided options for transportation. However, I would prepare lesson plans in advance since the organization doesn't offer much direction when it came to that. Overall, a great experience and it was a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of my own daily life!

This was a wonderful experience that truly allows you to connect with the kind presence of the locals and feel like you are living within Phayao. The students and staff are so welcoming, and it is great to create meaningful bonds with the children, and seeing them grasp small pieces of English is truly rewarding. They also share much of their culture and language with you as well. Hani was always available to reach out to with questions, makes you feel welcomed right away, and made the process go by very smoothly. There's also plenty of time to explore after the organization ends.

What an amazing experience! I stayed in Phayao for only one week, but I would have definitely stay longer if I hadn't been short on time. This was my first time teaching a large number of children, and I was surprised by how easy and enjoyable it was. All you need is some energy, a smile, genuine enthusiasm, and a willingness to teach even the simplest vocabulary, such as food or family, and the children become excited and eager to learn.
I am very grateful for this opportunity and would highly recommend this experience to anyone considering volunteering in Thailand!

It was an honor to volunteer here in Phayao. The directors were incredibly welcoming and generous, as well as very grateful for my time. They made sure I was comfortable everyday & had everything prepared before arriving. I was at a little adamant as it is a very rural part of northern Thailand, but immersing myself in this local village's culture was incredible and I would do it all over again if I could. Thank you, PEFF & Hani for the incredible opportunity! I highly recommend to any traveler(s) looking to make a difference in children's lives.

Volunteering as English teacher assistants for two weeks at the the school in Phayao was one of the most enriching experiences of our lives. It allowed us to experience authentic aspects of Thai culture, and we received so much spontaneous love from kids who were incredibly joyful. The town is small but peaceful and authentic, which makes it easy to immerse yourself in the culture. Accommodation and meals were good, and the the school is just a few minutes away by bike or scooter, which are provided to volunteers. We heartily recommend this experience to other volunteers.

Overall this was a very meaningful and rewarding experience. Working with the kids was beautiful. I do want to mention that at the beginning there was little clarity about my role in the classroom. On my day 1 I was simply given a book and asked to read while the students repeated. After an initial adjustment, I decided to create my own materials and plan more playful lessons, which worked really well, but this required a lot of personal initiative.
Hani has very good intentions, and is king and supportive. However, the project could benefit from more structure and pedagogical orientation.

This was one of the best experiences, that i highly recommend! Phayao is an amazing city to be a volunteer in. The city was calm and the locals were extremely friendly. The house we stayed in was so nice and clean. Pi tipawan was an awesome host and u could really tell that she cared about us volunteers.They invited us to dinners, bought us food, snacks and gifts. They were caring and welcoming from the start.Everyone at the the school was lovely and the teaching was so fun. The kids were adorable. Hani is an amazing host and the work he does is great and really inspires. So i deff recommend!

I just finished volunteering at the Chiamniam the the school and these past two weeks were such an amazing experience! Everything was very well arranged and everyone was so welcoming making sure I had a great stay. The teachers were so nice and always ready to help me. The kids were so lovely, they were playful and always in for a little chat. I have definitely learned a lot from them. The meals that we got were delicious and the accommodation was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone who is thinking of doing it!

I taught English for two weeks and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was really well organized, so I felt comfortable from the start. The accommodation was really nice and had everything you need. Everyone was super kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything.
The kids were really sweet, full of energy, loved to play and have conversations with me. They were excited to learn and made every lesson fun. Teaching them was such an amazing experience.
I'm really thankful for this opportunity and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to teach abroad.
