About Our Volunteer Program
Welcome to Dar Naima! 🌿
We are a small, family-run guesthouse located in the heart of Fez Medina. Our volunteer program is mainly about cultural exchange, teamwork, hospitality, and sharing everyday life in Morocco.
We usually ask our volunteers to help around 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. The schedule can be flexible depending on the number of guests and what needs to be done at the guesthouse.
What will you help with?
The tasks can vary from day to day and may include:
Preparing and helping with breakfast
Cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms
Changing bed sheets and preparing rooms for guests
Laundry and folding towels and bed linen
Cleaning common areas and our terrace
Helping with basic housekeeping
Helping with small maintenance, painting, decoration, or DIY projects when needed
Occasionally helping with guests and simple hospitality tasks
You don\'t need to be an expert. What is most important to us is that you are willing to learn, adaptable, responsible, and ready to help as part of a team.
Our expectations
We don\'t have many strict rules. However, we really value respect, good communication, cleanliness, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
We ask our volunteers to respect Moroccan culture and local customs, our family, our guests, and the people living around us. We also appreciate volunteers who are comfortable doing different types of tasks rather than expecting only one specific activity.
What you can experience
In return, you will have the opportunity to experience authentic Moroccan life in Fez, meet travelers from around the world, practice languages, discover the Medina and Moroccan culture, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of a small family-run guesthouse.

Mornings are spent working until 1pm, then you\'re free to relax on our terrace or explore the ancient medina. Breakfast is included, with traditional Moroccan eats served family style!
