Someway, somehow, I found a family here. speaking very little spanish, I still felt at home :) every single person working at the reserve has a special place in my heart. It was my first world packers experience where I felt genuinely connected to my body, my rest, the nature/world around me. It was exactly what I needed to find routine and peace. The day-to-day work feels like a dream. Edgar is an exceptional host with a huge heart for what he does. He cares deeply and it is easily felt. We exchanged spanish/English lessons and many laughs.. I was sad to leave this special place. <3

This was without doubt, the best Worldpackers experience I've had until now. If I could I would give it 10 stars. Don Edgar was incredible attentive and genuinely cared about the well-being of each volunteer. From day one I felt completely at home. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the waterfalls are absolutely stunning, and the whole team was friendly and easy to be around. An unforgettable experience, I can't wait to go back!!!

I had a really nice experience at la the reserve. The staff there were lovely and taught me about caring for plants, water management and agriculture processes. I came to learn more about how to set up ecological reserves and Don Edgar was very generous with his time and information about his process in setting up the reserve. At the time the road to the reserve was damaged, so we had to take a motorbike when I arrived, which I wasn't expecting. But once I arrived I had a really nice time chatting with everyone and got involved with the finca. The food was great! Very authentic!

The best first experience as a volunteer! Thanks to Mr. Edgar, Mrs. Ana Luisa, Mr. John, Mr. Odair, Mrs. Alba, Valentina, and to everyone who made these 15 unforgettable days possible. I learned about environmental conservation and got to know places in Santander. The reserve is a space for introspection, with beautiful landscapes and hypnotizing waterfalls. The tasks and times are respected, and the staff's handling is spectacular. I recommend this experience to those who seek to disconnect from the city. Thank you for so much! I hope to return soon. Second time in this place, this time the one who carried out the experience was my partner, and just like I felt the first time, it is an excellent place to volunteer. All the staff, starting with Don Edgar, Mrs. Isidora, the two gentlemen in charge of the locative arrangements, and even Ringo (the dog), will make you feel at home.

The reservation feels like a hidden home among the mountains, one that holds a certain mysticism and sanctity, and whose atmosphere would not be the same if not for the people who are there. The workers are a family full of history and learning; they welcomed us with love and a desire to teach us.
