I spent 4 weeks volunteering at the shelter and it was a great experience! The staff and volunteers are very nice and helpful and show you everything you need. The work is done by 1 pm and after that it's possible to go to Estepona or enjoy the day at the river where you can also swim. There are several hikes you can do as well! All of the dogs were so sweet and cuddly and I loved taking care of them 🥰! Michael is a great host, who is very helpful and shows that he cares about your wellbeing. I would recommend this experience to everyone and hope to come back again.

I spent 3 weeks at the shelter and it was a great experience :) It is very rewarding spending time with the dogs, who are all so sweet and are very well cared for by the staff there! Michael is a great host who cares deeply for the dogs and the the shelter. It never got boring at the farm, with 4 dogs and 2 foster puppies running around! You have a lot of free time to explore and the farm is in a gorgeous area with lots of places to hike and swim. I would recommend volunteering here and would love to come back in the future!

I highly recommend Mick as a host; I spent nearly a month at the farm, and it was an amazing experience. The accommodation was great—with a sea view and four wonderful dogs that I spent a lot of time with—and I used to ride my bike to the sea almost every day. the the shelter won a place in my heart from day one. I enjoyed the work; it was sometimes demanding, but the mere sight of all the dogs gave me a boost of energy. I grew so fond of some of the dogs that I even considered adopting one. That is also why I will definitely return to the the shelter and the farm. I recommend it to everyone.

Michael was a great host, theres 3 rooms in his guest house, theres a large fridge and lots of utensils to use. There is 4 dogs in the small ranch who are amazing ti hang out with! Work is simple and straightforward, cleaning the the shelter's kennels which takes about an hour or 2. You always get your break around 10:30 AM and it last 30 mins. You get to walk the dogs after breakfast and once it's 12 you can either go home or hang out with all the amazing dogs! During the summer it does get hot and theres only a fan in the living room but being outside is refreshing and freeing.

This was my 1st Worldpackers experience & it set the bar high! We worked at the the shelter from 9am–1pm w/ 2 days off per week. the the shelter is a 20-min walk from the farmhouse, though we often got a lift from the workers. The dogs were well cared for, & I felt I was making a real difference. Our main tasks were cleaning pens & occasionally walking the dogs. The workers care deeply for the dogs, & some Spanish is useful. The farmhouse was a fantastic place to stay & we were welcome to enjoy fresh produce from the farm. I had a comfortable stay, & I really grew attached to his four dogs<3

I had a wonderful experience at the the shelter. It was my first ever Worldpackers experience and I really enjoyed my time here. The working hours were always respected and it was never overwhelming After 1 pm we had free time to explore and the electric bikes were great to get to the beach (in 20 minutes) and also explore the nearby town, which is beautiful and full of life. Overall I had an amazing experience and I already miss the dogs🐶

I had a wonderful experience at the the shelter Rescue. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and relaxed. Michael is a very friendly host, and the volunteer accommodation was lovely, with extras like electric bikes to explore and visit the beach. I also loved exploring the farm by the house and enjoying the fresh fruit and vegetables, especially the avocados. The rescue is amazing, the workload is manageable, and the dogs are so loving. It was incredibly rewarding helping and spending time with them. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone considering volunteering here.

It was an excellent volunteering, the dogs in the the shelter are very well cared for by the loving caregivers and volunteers who attend the shelter. I leave wanting to return to repeat the experience, thank you very much to Mike for the hospitality and fruits and vegetables in his orchard. Thank you all very much for the good they do to dogs 🫶. it was a totally recommended volunteering. I recommend having a good level of English since almost all the people in the place are English speakers.
