The staff and other volunteers were amazing people and I'm so glad I met them. Everyone was really accommodating and helped me out all the way. They really completed my trip.
I had a really nice room with a bathroom and the breakfast, lunch and dinner were all served.
The work was quite straightforward and I was told what to do and the instructions were simple to follow.

I was thankful that I stayed this place. I was thought about self isolation. Why people want to stay at where surrounded nature away from civilization. I could feel that happiness comes from concentration of your life where not enclosed complicate society. That kind of place makes you more focusing on yourself and your life much. Some people could be felt the hotel is boring, but here provides you become more mature. That kind of place.

Great experience with wonderful people, fair work shift and nice warm meals suited for vegetarian too. What's more is every volunteer has their own private room. The remote location surrounded by picturesque Scottish nature makes it perfect place to disconnect from hectic routine and recharge so highly recommended to hiker and nature lover. Thanks so much for such a peaceful and memorable stay!

Loved my time at the hotel! I was based in housekeeping, so tasks primarily consist of changing beds and cleaning rooms, tidying lochside/ the hotel and looking after the laundry. Was really great getting to know the paid staff and volunteers in the kitchen/ maintenance, we all clicked really well together! the hotel is definitely off the grid, so be prepared for lots of downtime (actually really relaxing by the loch!) and 3 quality meals daily. 3 days off per week, so it's worth taking a trip to Oban/ other surrounding areas. Thanks for a great stay, Port team!

I had a really great experience at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and I felt comfortable from the beginning. The tasks are clear, there is a weekly schedule, and you have plenty of freedom and trust to do the work. The private accommodation was 10/10, private hotel room just for yourself and the meals were made by the chef. The location is amazing, a beautiful Highland setting surrounded by mountains, nature and Loch Awe. It's remote, but that's what makes it perfect to disconnect and enjoy Scotland.

I had such a great experience. The nature is really amazing. Everybody was nice mostly. chris and maxine are very fun people. if you like a quiet place nature and peace. its a good place to be. i do recoment. the only downside is that there is no public transportation around. but besides that, everything was good.

Thank you Liz for hosting me at the last time (my previous host cancelled my stay) and to the team for friendly welcome !
I had a cosy room with a kettle, confortable bed and functioning bathroom.
I was attached to maintenance. I did interesting jobs with full autonomy and trust.
The rules for the meals are not very clear and easy, but the food is provided and very good.
The hotel is 4km from transportation but we can have pick ups from/to the bus stop or directly in a nearby town.
For me all was good; because I'm not picky about cleanliness, I helped myself and adapted to everything !

We really enjoyed ourselves, and everything went well with the work and the location! The hotel is in a beautiful spot and, as it was nearby, we had the chance to go camping, meet people and spend hours around campfires by the loch.

Oban and the Isle of Mull are definitely unforgettable, as is Inveraray, which was just as we'd expected a Scottish town to be.

I reckon that if you speak a bit of English and enjoy exploring nature, your stay will be perfect.

Literally the whole team is great fun and always willing to help.

Thank you so much, and who knows, maybe see you next time ; )
