I had an amazing time volunteering at the home. Fernando and Daniel are both lovely people and amazing hosts. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and we shared many fun experiences over my month there. the home is very well organised and the kids are eager to learn. The accommodation was clean and had everything I needed including a washing machine and cooking equipment. The town is charming and the locals are warm and friendly. I highly recommend this experience as I have created memories I will look fondly back on the rest of my life. Many thanks to the team at the home!

I really had a great time here working with Fernando and Dani. They are incredibly kind, funny, and personable people. From the start, they make you feel included — showing you around the city, helping you navigate the culture, and just being genuinely fun to be around. The students are also a joy to teach. There's a wide range of English levels and class sizes, so each experience can be a little different, but that's part of what makes it meaningful. It's truly rewarding to watch students grow, gain confidence, and begin using English.

Daniel and Fernando are nice. However, there is NO organisation. For example, on Tuesday evening at 9:30 p.m. volunteers receive a message to prepare activities for the next day 9 a.m. we had no information on the number of children or age. The next day we arrive at 9 a.m. and they arrive 30 minutes late without apologising. Then expect us to do the activities in their place because they had nothing planned. In addition, there is a camera in the living room and it was uncomfortable for us, we covered it, and Fernando spoke very badly to another volunteer. I left before the previous date.

Ilona was good at the begining, but anything was good enough for her, that day, there wasn't energy in the town and we had to create something new in the last minute, the institute is kind of hot and dark with out it. The camera, I don't understand what was wrong, it's for SECURITY REASON, they covered it without have spoken before, after 3 days, I realized the camera was off. Honestly, we didn't like that, we spoke about it then she got upset and left. bad experience!!:)

I had a good time in Colombia overall. The teaching was excellent and the Wi-Fi was strong. The only downside was that things felt a little disorganized at times, and I was scolded for very small things. I also didn't feel I had much cultural immersion coming from the USA, but overall it was still a positive experience.
