I absolutely adored my time at the guest house. Unfortunately, my stay ended a little earlier than planned due to an unexpected medical emergency, but everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and understanding throughout it all. Krystal even came to visit me in the hospital, which meant so much to me. I loved the peaceful atmosphere, all of the animals, and the beautiful surroundings. Even during low season, I really enjoyed my time there and felt very welcomed. I would absolutely recommend the guest house and hope I can visit again someday!

I had an amazing time volunteering at the guest house. The location itself is truly beautiful, but what made it even more special were the people I've met and the animals that made me feel so welcome every day. The team ist very lovely and kind and the tasks were fair and manageable, allowing enough time to enjoy the surroundings . One thing to keep in mind is that there can be occasional communication difficulties, but as long as you are prepared for that and stay flexible, it's not a big deal. Overall it was a great experience and I'm glad it got to be my first Worldpackers experience.

thank you Julie for the lovely feedback, and you are right, if sometimes things go wrong, it is in communication with the Thai staff, this is actually the reason we work with volunteers, to help this issue with customer, it was lovely to have you around, thx, kristel bbdivers

From day one, I knew I was going to love this place—my first thought was “3 weeks won't be long enough.” It's a tucked-away spot on a beautiful island, and the staff are genuinely sweet and welcoming. If you have experience in the service industry, it's an easy transition into the work. Like any volunteer position, you get out what you put in. I hope you appreciate this place as much as I did. If you don't mind sleeping with a fan and being kept company by the wildlife, you'll feel right at home.

The guest house is beautifully located by the sea and staying in a cliffside bungalow with ocean view and sunsets made the experience very enjoyable. The team atmosphere was generally positive and the work was mostly enjoyable, alongside cute animals. However, at times, communication with the staff was challenging and I occasionally felt somewhat overlooked and unsupported. This, along with being expected to complete tasks without proper instruction or guidance, sometimes made the environment feel difficult. Meals for voulnteers were only provided on working days and were often quite repetetive.

thx for the feedback Wiktoria. I ll check about the meals, they are cooked seperate since staff meals are too spicy for most foreigners, but I did think they were varied. Will check on that. The communication and explanation from Thai staff is quite often a bit of a stumble for some, culture difference seem to create a problem sometimes, I apologize for that, it seem to work better for some than for others. Hope you still enjoyed most of your time here, kind greets, kristel

The host is a kind and understanding person, and the location is beautiful. However, the management team seems burnt out from frequently training new volunteers, which made the experience challenging. I often felt like a burden and emotionally uncomfortable, as staff attitudes could be unpredictable day to day. Meals are only provided on workdays, and volunteers are closely monitored during shifts, including limited personal interaction. This experience may be doable for someone who can strongly compartmentalize and adapt to a high-pressure environment.

I had replied in private since most issues between volunteer and staff were private. Will keep it like that ,since I do not like public embarasement of people.
