I had a very lovely experience as a volunteer at the Aguas hostel. From the first day I felt very warmly welcomed; Javier and the whole team are wonderful, approachable, and respectful people. The atmosphere is very pleasant; you meet many travelers and Camino pilgrims, who are incredibly kind and always willing to share their stories and experiences. It was also great to live with other volunteers; a very warm and human environment is created. I take away very good memories and lessons learned. Without a doubt, an experience I would recommend 💛

My first volunteer in Ourense was wonderful. At the hostel, the tasks were to welcome guests, do the check-in and check-out, and maintain general order and cleanliness of the hostel (such as replenishing food, washing clothes, keeping things in order). The place is very quiet, and most of the time you can be doing other things while you attend to the guests' needs. The group of volunteers was very pleasant and easy to get along with. Javier was always very kind, clear, and attentive to the hostel's and ours needs as volunteers. Very happy with this collaboration.

Ourense is a very quiet and beautiful place; being able to visit the hot springs and do outdoor activities is wonderful, the hostel is very well located. You can practice languages with the guests, since it hosts people from all over the world. The team makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. Feel free to ask questions if you have any doubts, since they are just starting with volunteering, so there are things you need to know, but Javi will have no trouble solving or helping. Special mention to Briadna, the other volunteer who was a sweetheart.
