I had such a wonderful time volunteering in the hostel&Hostel and would definitely recommend it! The team is amazing and made me feel like home from day one. the hostel is a lovely town and, even though it might seem quiet at first, there's actually a lot to do nearby. The staff also organizes community events and day trips, which are a great way to meet locals and have some really enriching experiences :) The tasks and working hours are fair and straightforward, and the staff are flexible and understanding if you ever need anything. Volunteering at the hostel is a wonderful experience if you are looking for a local experince in the Japanese countryside. the hostel is a lovely town and your fellow staff are super welcoming and helpful. It's a really good place to practice your Japanese, but most of the fellow staff speak english aswell. I would definitely recommend coming here.

Yna, and the hostel overall have been nothing but very kind in my experience! You can always find someone to talk to. You can depend on the english speakers there, but also be pushed to practice your 日本語 with understanding locals while exploring the beautiful city of the hostel. With the work being steady in the mornings and creatively fulfilling in the evenings, shifts being flexible for your travel needs, and the caring coworkers that understand even if you mess up, the hostel is a solid volunteering experience I would recommend to anyone interested.

Wonderful experience at the youth hostel, which welcomed me warmly, and was generally flexible in giving me consecutive days off, despite some communication hiccups. There were also events between the guests and the staff, the chance to socialise! The tasks are simple and accessible. The city and its region are beautiful, and if you love nature, hiking or cycling, you won't get bored! The food is affordable and delicious :)) Big up to Nayumi and Futa with whom I spent excellent moments ✨ My two months went by quickly!
