The owners are very kind. Unfortunately, something came up and I had to leave earlier than planned. I recommend it, thank you for everything.

Saimir is one of the best hostel owners and hosts on worldpackers I have had the pleasure of meeting. This is my second time volunteering and 4th time returning to the hostel. If you are in Tirana you cannot find better quality at this price. The work is very manageable and each time I have come I have met new friends and made great connections. I would absolutely recommend the hostel to anyone looking to volunteer in Tirana.

Of all the experiences I've had, this has been one of the best. It was something new and fun, quite relaxed, and I liked that with the short workday, you can get to know the city, go out to different places and meet also a lot of people in the hostel.

I volunteered here to paint some murals and signs, and was very happy to have the opportunity to do this for the first time. Saimir didn't ask me to do any tasks that weren't in the position description (which is rare), and has been very patient and respectful of the painting and artistic process. There are two big kitchens we can use, and the ingredients for 2 meals/day are provided weekly. After a year in rural areas, my brain definitely needed to get re-used to being in a city, and in a hostel, with constant people around.

Topos if a Family. One time the hostel you always will be the hostel. I really want to back. The activities are so easy, the location is totally perfect and the most important, you can feel part of the family. Saimir is one of the most human person what i have meet ever. Is a great human and a great friend. I totally recommend being part of this experience.

This volunteering experience taught me that it is possible to have structured learning spaces, well-organized weekly meals, and full respect for all volunteer rules. I highly recommend it and would return without hesitation

The best thing about the hostel is without a doubt its location, It's in a great area for exploring the city and getting around easily. The tasks were exactly what expected from this type of volunteer exchange.
Saimir the host is a nice person and is always around, provides enough food for the volunteers (the grocery shopping is once a week).

I would not recommend this volunteer experience to people who have difficulties setting personal boundaries becuase of the kind of situations that can develope in this kind of hostel, even though It's a nice place to meet international travelers.

The tasks and expectations are super clear from day 1 (there's a specific PDFs with the responsibilities for each shift). There are other locals (Milan is so fun!) and it's common to share food with each other. The hostel has a terrace, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, and different rooms.
Saimir is a fantastic, communicative, fast responsive, and flexible host. I really recommend Topo Hostel if you're looking to immerse yourself in the local culture and experience Tirana! I'd definitely come back and hope to see the hostel growing a lot, because it deserves. 11 out of 10 stars :)

The hostel, Saimir, and the other regulars are all very kind and freindly. Saimir was Very flexible and understanding when I was trying to plan my next stop. I shared many meals with different people and never needed to worry about food. The room, bathrooms, and common areas are well maintained. The location puts you in a good spot in the city for exploring. The work life balance is great and Saimir is very knowledgeable about Tirana and Albania. Overall a wonderful experience, I'm so lucky that the hostel was my first experience on world packers! Thank you for everything!

Honestly, in this place I felt very good. Saimir is a great host, a great boss willing to help, being flexible with the volunteer, the hours and whatever is needed in general. I felt valued and integrated into the culture in a family-friendly environment!
