Reception: the first embrace of the meditation center
The experience
We are looking for a kind, patient, and organized person for the reception. You will be the first contact for many people who come to meditation. A call, a WhatsApp message, or a welcome at the door are an opportunity to convey the peace and warmth we want to share with everyone. If you feel inspired to serve others in a Buddhist center in the heart of nature, we look forward to meeting you!

Program Details
At our center, everything we do has one purpose: to benefit all beings and help each person find peace of mind through the teachings of Buddha. The reception is a key piece of that purpose, because it is the first contact many people have with meditation and with our community.
As a reception volunteer, you will attend to those who come seeking information, enroll in a course, or stay with us, in person, by phone, by email, or by WhatsApp. You will also support basic administrative tasks: reservations, registrations, payments, and the organization of information.
Beyond tasks, what we look for is an attitude. Whoever contacts us may arrive with urgency, doubts, or in a difficult moment. Therefore, every response, however simple it may seem, is an opportunity to convey calm, trust, and kindness. We especially value patience, empathy, listening, and the ability to respond clearly and kindly. Here the reception is not just an office job. It is a way to practice love and compassion in daily life.
We offer you accommodation in a shared room, three daily meals, and meditation classes. By becoming part of our Kadampa Buddhist community, you will live and learn alongside practitioners with many years of experience. You will be able to participate in all classes, sung prayers, and retreats held at the center, and thus bring what you learn on the meditation cushion to your daily service.
For your stay, you should bring a towel and personal hygiene items. We provide you with a fitted sheet, top sheet, pillowcase, and a blanket.
Living at the center is much more than volunteering; it is an opportunity to contribute and benefit.
Activities & Shift
We work 5 days a week and rest 2 days. The reception shift is 6 hours daily, spread throughout the day.
The standard schedule is:
• 10:00 – 14:00: reception tasks, with a 15-minute break.
• 14:00 – 15:00: lunch hour.
• 15:00 – 17:00: continuation of reception tasks.
This schedule can be adjusted according to the needs of the reception and the retreats that are taking place. What always remains is the 6 hours of daily work, although the distribution may vary and rest days may be adjusted according to the center's planning.
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changes are required, since the reception is a key point in the center's operation and may require adjustments depending on the activities and events that are held.
Rules
Medical insurance is required and a copy of your document or passport must be provided before entering.
