I highly recommend her hostel—beautiful vibes and views, a gorgeous beach, and 10-minute walks. Rafa, the one who helps with cleaning, is a wonderful person; she helped me a lot, a fan of empowered women. Amelia is a woman who carries the whole hostel on her shoulders 💕

The hostel is a hostel with a very magical atmosphere, the administrator was very attentive to my comfort and the communication was super open, the hostel's owner makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Schedules are respected and the activities are as expected. The only thing they have to improve is the volunteers' room because now it has become damp and it is quite small, however I can't complain about that either because in the 15 days I only slept there 2 nights and the rest were in various vacant rooms of the hostel, that option is available whenever the hostel isn't full.

It was my first volunteering experience and I wholeheartedly recommend it. From the start I was warmly welcomed, I received constant attention from Ayelén (the person in charge) mainly when I was alone, and listened to when I needed it. I met beautiful people and shared with an incredible staff with whom I could connect. Besides that, the accommodation was comfortable and very practical, and Guarda is an ideal place to start volunteering as it is small but full of nature to explore. I take this experience home with me with great joy and I am grateful from the bottom of my heart

Meus dias na the hostel foram tranquilos, a the hostel é belíssima e o trabalho é conforme o combinado. O hostel possui espaços comuns muito aconchegantes e duas cozinhas equipadas, Aye é muito querida e gentil, está sempre a disposição para nos ajudar. Único ponto negativo é o quarto dos staff, pequeno e abafado, o quarto é para quatro voluntários, nós estávamos entre duas e mesmo assim foi desconfortável. Como primeiro voluntariado foi uma experiência foi positiva :)

The experience itself was good, Maria and Yshe are such lovely people; the tasks were very simple and flexible. I felt very comfortable and at ease. The only point was the volunteers' room, which was in a very bad state with a lot of dampness. But I talked to them and was able to sleep in another room. They said they would fix the room. Apart from that, it was a very calm few days.

It was a great experience I had at the hostel. From day one I felt very comfortable, since the group of volunteers was very friendly and they made me feel at home. I really enjoyed my stay; the tasks were quite calm, such as staying at the reception in case there was a check-in and keeping the cleanliness of the hostel. They are also quite flexible with the schedules and the dates, which I liked. The space is super quiet and it's a great place to get to know Guarda do Embaú since it's well located.
