The hostel is a 10/10 experience. There was such an amazing vibe of different nationalities exploring what Cornwall has to offer. The staff section is so cosy offering a kitchen and living area for just our staff. Surfing everyday is almost Guaranteed plus movie nights. Tom will make you incredibly welcome. I would recommend bringing your own board if you're not a beginner surfer. The 15 hours is so manageable with most of us getting jobs outside the hostel aswell

Best place ever 🤍 Tom and Harry have created such a great environment and I was lucky to be apart of it. Work is incredibly fair and easy and the other travellers there are like a little family. Newquay is beautiful with plenty to keep you entertained. Can't wait to be back next summmer

Such a nice place, there's a lot of volunteers and the team is super nice, helpful and funny. Newquay is a cute little surf town with lots of stuff to do and beautiful scenery for walks and hikes. The work is super manageable and you always get support if you need it

My experience was so wonderful, the hosts Tom and Harry are amazing, the hostels staff accommodation is great and the work is very good only working 2 days a week for free rent is fab! Newquay is a cool little town with so much to do! I have left the hostel with amazing friends who became like a little family in the short time I was there and I made lots of incredible memories. I truly loved my time there, going to miss it so much. I couldn't recommend to anyone more. Thank you so much to Tom and Harry and the rest of the team, will be back to visit soon xxx

What a pleasure to have been part of the hostel family! since the volunteers have their own dorms, kitchen and lounge area, it really felt like a big international share house. the hostel is located in the centre of Newquay and perfect to explore the town and beaches. the work at the hostel was as expected, for accommodation, I had to work two half-day shifts. the shift rota was decided in collaboration with all volunteers and quite flexible. meals were not included, but in the month I was there, we put on a pizza night. Overall can recommend, as it was really social and fun.

My experience at the hostel was lovely! I met really cool people there. The hostel is very cozy, with everything you need, including surfboards, I was able to surf as much as I wanted. Shifts and working hours were always respected, which made the experience well organized. Harry is very welcoming and flexible, which makes you feel very comfortable. Newquay is a really cool town, quiet in winter, with lots of great hikes and nice coffee shops :) If you're looking for a social experience in a cool English surf town while improving your darts skills, go for it ;)

I had a fantastic month at the hostel in Newquay, everyone was very friendly and welcoming and I definitely have made some friends for life. Can't recommend enough if you are looking for a social experience in a stunning part of the world, also if you want to surf this is the place to do it as I was out in the water almost every day! The work was flexible and the hours are very manageable as the hostel has a great team environment. Massive thanks to Harry and Tom and the rest of the gang at the hostel!

I volunteered at the hostel from late December to January, but then extended my stay as I enjoyed it so much. The host and other volunteers were incredibly welcoming, and the overall vibe was relaxed and friendly. I spent my time surfing, working reasonable, flexible hours, and sharing plenty of laughs. I'd highly recommend this experience to travellers who are adaptable, open-minded, and keen to improve their surfing.

this volunteer experience was absolutely amazing, it’s the first place where I truly feel welcomed and at home by each and every person I met. The work is very easy and hours are respected, if you do get lost or have any questions there is always someone there to help! One of the perks is being able to use the surfboards and wetsuits (though water sports unfortunately are not for me) if you want to learn all the equipment is available for you:) It truly feels like one big family and I hope to come back in summer when it’s busier💞 thank you to Harry and Ben who made this experience so great
