I had a great volunteering experience at the hostel in Chefchaouen. The staff were friendly, helpful, and cooperative, always making me feel welcome. The atmosphere was nice, and the city itself was absolutely amazing, with its beautiful blue streets and charming vibe. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend it to other volunteers!

I felt welcome from day one, and I thank the entire staff for that. Volunteering here really helped me practice my English, as I had the chance to meet so many people. The city is beautiful, and the hostel activities give you the opportunity to explore it. I highly recommend it, especially if you love peace and nature.

I spent a month in the hostel doing the night shift. Islam and Yassine are very kind and attentive, always available if you need anything. The hostel is pleasant, and the groups staying there are friendly as well. The tasks are very simple and mainly consist of being present at reception, making sure everyone has returned before closing the door, and ensuring safety and quietness by monitoring the cameras and the entrance. It was really enjoyable because I had the whole day free, since my shift started at 10 p.m. Overall, it was a great volunteering experience that I highly recommend

I had an amazing experience at the hostel, the atmosphere is super nice the guests, employees, the owner. Hostel has a perfect location for sightseeing, getting to know the city , Medina, walking to the highest point of the city . The breakfast provided for volunteers is delicious, well Moroccan culture and has a specific employee who prepares it. The room is good, the kitchen very functional, hot shower, everything well organized! I really liked it and highly recommend the hostel, it's a shame to have stayed so little time, I confess that I would have liked to have stayed longer! Gratitude

I spend a great time in Chefchaouen and the hostel, it's a amazing place to imerge in Marocco culture if you are looking for. I applied for doing the night shift in reception at the Hostel but when I arrived there it was told to me that I will do to cleaning shift, but in my last week they diced to put me in morning shift in the reception without asking me anything about, witch for me was so disrespectful. The volunteers room is located in the rooftop, its hard sometimes to take a real rest, especially if you will do reception shift, because guests are there during the entire day socializing

Do not volunteer here. My stay was agreed on WhatsApp from December 20 to January 15, and the host even said it would be better if I stayed longer, but I was suddenly forced to leave early with false claims about Moroccan law. Volunteers are constantly busy, publicly humiliated, and kindness is treated as weakness—what is promised is very different from reality.

You cause problems daily. For a while, I felt you were being foolish. I was treating you kindly, but you're not normal. This is a workplace, not a mental hospital. Also, I didn't want to give you an evaluation, yet you're the one doing the evaluation. Thank you. This doesn't bother me at all. Whoever wants to respect the place is welcome, otherwise, there's no place for them.

The hostel was an amazing place to volunteer. Eslam and the manager Yasin were incredibly kind and always tried to make things easier for me as long as I completed my tasks responsibly. I worked as a web developer, creating the hostel's website and back-office system, which was a great opportunity to apply and grow my skills. The accommodation was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere very welcoming. Just keep in mind that Chefchaouen can be quite cold in winter, and please take care of the little girls nearby spanish mosque, they are my sisters!
