I had a great overall experience staying with Catherine. I really appreciated the flexibility she gave me - I could organize my day with the cute dachshund Franchu in a way that suited me. One important thing to mention: you should be careful when walking with the dog. During one of our walks Franchu and I were biten by another dog. Probably just bad luck and definitely not Catherine's fault, but it's something future volunteers should be aware of. A real highlight for me was drinking mate at sunset by the sea. My experience was very good!! One of the best volunteer stints I've done; taking care of Franchu and Ulises was very enjoyable!!!
In addition, I was able to get to know Piriápolis very well and see a little of the locals' day-to-day life. Catherine is a very funny and polite person who shares the travel spirit!!

I felt very comfortable from the first day, the atmosphere was very nice and the organization clear. I learned a lot, enjoyed the tasks and the exchange, and I leave with a very positive feeling about everything I experienced. Catherine is a first-rate host, very cool and she helps you discover places that, for a backpacker, are very important.
