It was my first volunteering experience, and if I can sum up this experience in one word, it would be incredible! Tainá is simply perfect as host. A fair and organized person, with easy communication. The place is well thought out, both for the well-being of guests and volunteers. I really felt at home. I am very grateful for the exchange with all the people, languages and different cultures I had the opportunity to know. The opportunity also to be able to teach something and leave there a part of me as a social and functional human being for those with whom I live. I only wish success to Tainá and to Hostel da Boneca.

Volunteering at Hostel da Boneca was my first volunteering experience.. and I could not have wished for a better experience than this! It was all perfect. From the first moment I arrived, I felt welcomed as if at home. Taina is a fantastic owner, attentive, caring, able to manage the facility in the most efficient and comfortable way possible, both for the volunteers as for the guests. The work is relatively simple, the tasks are clear. Canoa Quebrada is a small town but full of life.. you will fall in love with it and it will be difficult to leave from here!

This was my first experience with worldpackers and it will be unforgettable. I loved Canoa Quebrada, I felt super safe, among such welcoming people that I didn't want to leave. I loved my fellow volunteers, we had enriching exchanges.
Taí, who is the host, is very fair in distributing the tasks that are simple to do. I thank her for opening her doors to promote these connections and offer us travelers a safe and welcoming environment!! My experience at Hostel DaBoneca was very positive. Tainá was a patient host, clear about the tasks and always willing to help whenever a doubt arose. I felt supported and welcomed from day one.
I had the opportunity to share with incredible people, learn more about the local culture, practice and learn Portuguese in a very natural way, and enjoy the region's typical cuisine. My experience at the the hostel was great. Tainá was a very calm and understanding host, trusted my work and we always had good communication about the content created. Canoa is a place to connect with the people and was a place of peace for me, with incredible nature and cultural events, a lot of music and friendship. The volunteers really created a small family.
