My experience with the host was very good. I really lived in a community with the local people, I stayed at the home of a Thai mother and made excellent friendships with other Brazilian volunteers. What stood out the most was the immersion in the local culture and everything I learned from the guides about Buddhism, history and Thai food. I also experienced Songkran, the Thai New Year, and the host kept the agreement to let me be free during these 3 days to enjoy the celebration. I highly recommend it.

It was a great experience, especially because of the connection with their Thai team. Mama On and Zuzu were amazing. The guides are also wonderful, and you can learn a lot from them.

The positive part was learning about Chiang Mai's history with different guides. However, volunteering was very exhausting, with responsibilities and workload that resemble an unpaid job. Even with some prior agreements, the practice was even more intense, including handling clients on my own and problems caused by internal disorganization. At times, I also felt disrespected by the team. Overall, I don't think this proposal can be called volunteering.

Júlia,
The rating on your evaluation alarms us, because we know it does not accurately reflect what you experienced during volunteering.
We appreciate your support during the Lantern Festival, the busiest period of the year.
You had only 8 days of active work in a month, with breaks before and after, and this had been arranged in advance.
Specific issues were resolved immediately, including an isolated comment that does not represent our entire team. We appreciate the feedback and we continue to improve.
