I spent 10 days and wowww !! This was an amazing experience, I would highly recommend to any one interested in learning about Sri Lanka culture, Buddhism and culture. I got to have a lot of amazing adventures - like going to Bhante Sabbhodis family house for a meal, going to a local pineapple farm, and Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanweli Maha. A truly once in a lifetime experience. Bhante Vihari was so kind and really made sure I was always taken care of, the food was amazing and accommodation very comfortable and peaceful environment. I hope to come back one day 🙏

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I couldn't have asked for a more meaningful one. I truly loved my time at the Center, taking part in the ceremonies and learning about the Center culture and daily life. From meditating with monks to going to local schools, they welcomed me with so much warmth and an open heart. I am very grateful to Bhante Vihari, who organized my the Center and was incredibly kind and attentive throughout my time there, always making sure I had everything I needed. After 5 days, I am leaving with beautiful memories and a full heart!

I stayed for 3 days, although my time was short I loved every minute. I wish I had enough time to the Center longer. I learnt so much about Buddhism, culture and meditation. Everyone was so kind, patient and welcoming. I have left with so much knowledge and peace. I couldn't recommend enough. Thank you again for everything.

I had a nice experience here. The host took good care of everyone and made sure we got to experience a lot by showing us different places and activities. I would recommend staying a little longer to get the full experience. And really the Center about Buddhism. It's a very peaceful place and perfect if you want to slow down and relax. The work is minimal, so it's much more about the experience than the volunteering itself.

I cannot recommend this experience enough if you ever find yourself in Sri Lanka and would like to the Center about Buddhism, something that is so important to the country's culture. I stayed here for 1 week and it was the most enriching and peaceful week of my travels. All activities are planned on the day, one day you could be visiting and helping out in a Sunday school or monk school while they next you could take a visit to nearby temples or participate in house blessings. Special shout out to Bhante Vihari who organised all our activities and lead our mediation, thank you for your kindness!!

Had an amazing two nights here. So many things were organized for us and everything was optional. We visited a local families pineapple farm and they showed us around their home and gardens. We attended the Sunday school and even took over a class!. Tried many local customise and Sri Lankan dishes and got to mediate on a rock overlooking amazing views with a beautiful sunset. It was a really enjoyable relaxing experience.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I had an incredible time staying at the temple. There were many activities set up with local families to get to really see the culture. I was welcomed and learned very much, as questions were always encouraged. It is a very beautiful property and the tasks are very minimal so there is plenty of personal time.
