OMG what an iconic experience, a total banger! Highly recommend! it was 30 intense hours a week, but really worth it. Huge thanks to Oskar, Anna and Miia for being amazing hosts who you can thrust, and who can be flexible. I really got to discover the city, visited what i wanted to visit, and even to reach local social circles. Also, had to say, as a Black traveler, I have never felt as safe in a place as I did here.
Anyway, it was slay

Anna and Oskar were always nice to me. I made some really special international friendships and it was a fun experience to be part of. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a different kind of experience in Copenhagen/Denmark. ❤️

I am lucky enough that I got the opportunity to volunteer at Sidste Mole. This experience was beyond my expectations and anything I could have hoped for. Sidste Mole is more than an events space but a community. A community of inclusive and loving people from all different walks of life. I made amazing friendships and experiences that made saying good bye so hard. Day to day was easy cleaning and up keep tasks and weekends were fun party events. This opportunity allowed for full emersion into the Danish culture and a different way of life. I truly recommend and cannot wait to go back.

Hi everyone! I had the opportunity to work at and get to know the organization over the course of more than 20 days. It felt less like a workplace and more like being part of a big family. The place attracts many international travelers, allowing me to learn about new cultures—in addition to the Danish culture I engaged with practically every day. Scheduled tasks are adhered to, as is the 30-hour work week. The host is happy to accommodate requests for greater flexibility, and the work is manageable even for someone like me who had no prior experience :)

I was welcomed directly into the organization, and over the three weeks that i stayed there it felt like a home away from home☺️ The work hours can be very fluid, but the 30 hour week is respected. The work can be very different from day to day, one day painting, the next an event. The opportunity to learn to become a Suana Guss was amazing and unexpected, a skill i will have for life now! There are bikes provided which is amazing to be able to inexpensively explore the city of Copenhagen. I had such a fantastic time that i already know i will be coming back in the future(:"},

The organization is an incredible, vibrant place! I was lucky to meet so many amazing people, Oskar and Anna included. The work was very chill and enjoyable, mainly helping to set up and pack down for the sauna sessions, though I also worked some events serving drinks and making food. I even was trained to be a sauna gusmaster myself! The living conditions were comfortable and the heat pump kept me very warm. I had ample free time to explore the city on a bike. There were some communication/scheduling issues in the first week but once we created a schedule everything ran smoothly. I ❤️ Sidst the organization!!

I had a great time at the organization. Oskar, Anna and all the gusmasters where really kind and helpful. I really liked the vibe of the place. My tasks mainly where to take care of the sauna and generally of the place, but i also got to make some new furniture, learnes how to brew mate, helped with events and whent grocery shopping with the bike. The only thing that was a bit difficult in the beginning was that the place is not really made for winter, which made some tasks more difficult, but after it got warmer again it was a lot easier.

The organization is a special place. I've been volunteering and working with them for months. Location is super cool if you like taking a dip in the water, there's saunagus everyday, artists in and out of the house if they have a studio and typically events in the weekend, so you're never bored. I understand other volunteers frustration with time management, I know they've taken feedback into account and are trying out scheduling the days more. With that said, just tell them your needs/concerns, then they'll help find a solution☀️

I had a great time at the organization :) The work was easy (sauna, cleaning, bar work on weekends), and I loved the vibe & people. Oskar is kind and helpful and made an effort to organize things by making schedules and lists of task, but sometimes we still had to remind him about breaks, agreed times and days off. So being flexible and communicating is important. The main challenge was the weather and that the place wasn't set up for it (e.g. often no running water, only a cold outdoor shower). But the project is still newer, so this will hopefully improve + this winter was especially cold.
