Stayed here with my younger brother, and we had such a great experience! The host, Rebecca was very kind and welcoming, and the work was manageable. I really appreciated that they gave us such a great opportunities to hang out and connect with the staffs working there. It made our stay feel much more warm and nice. (Of course, the opportunity to hang out with the staff may depend on the timing and circumstances, but I was really grateful that I got to experience it.) Thank you so much for everything! I would definitely love to come back to Taichung again🤍

Rebecca, the staff, and other volunteers were all wonderful to get to know and work with. The work can be completed quickly, the nearby bus stop makes it convenient to explore Taichung, and it was fun trying local foods and various group activities with people from the hostel and sister hostels.

Many thanks to Rebecca and the team at the hostel for making my volunteering experience an unforgettable one! As a solo traveler in Taichung, I felt very safe and comfortable with the other hostel staff, volunteers, and guests. The work itself is not too demanding - there are usually 4 volunteers at a time at the hostel, and together it takes around 2 hours to complete all the housekeeping and cleaning, and can be done anytime between guest check-out and check-in time. During my first few days, the other volunteers and staff were very friendly with showing me what to do.

My partner and I had a great time at the hostel, the hostel has a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. rebecca and the staff are welcoming and friendly, any questions/concerns and they will be resolved promptly. the work is simple housekeeping. The hostel is a good place to volunteer! The tasks are simple and quickly finished, leaving plenty of time to explore Taichung. It is located out of the centre but very easy to get the bus around. Rebecca, the host, is very friendly and helpful and as are all the staff that work at the hostel :) There is a kitchen, nice lounge area & washing machine and dryer to use.

I had a really good experience staying at the hostel. The work was straightforward and easy to handle, and the atmosphere was relaxed. The hostel is located on a main bus street, which made getting around the city super convenient. Glad I chose this place to spend the holidays!

Monica is super funny, nice, friendly and easygoing person. And work hard everyday to keep our place so clean. We were so happy to have her being a part of us. Hope she enjoy the trip in Taiwan and visit us anytime in the future. Sorry that worldpackers don't allow to leave the review anymore, but definitely 5 Star for Monica. ;)

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was honestly the best, I enjoyed my time and look forward to coming back in the future. My only critique is that especially for a first timer I would have like for tasks to be more clearly laid out and defined on what is done on each day through out the week; there were moments in the beginning when I was not sure what I was doing and I wanted to make sure that I did a good job, also I didn’t realize that it was my responsibility to ask for the 2 promised days off a week. The host did accommodate this after mentioning it to her however.
