Jaba Jan is near Palomino, with its own private beach nearby, and beautiful surroundings. The hostel itself had great facilities and friendly staff. They were very helpful with everything we needed. We loved the friendly dogs, they kept us company. The only thing was that we were there in the low season, and there was not much work for us to do, but that wasnt the host fault.

The voluntering at Jabajan was a great experience! The hostel had a great vibe, and my Highlight was the Pizzanight. The schedules where clear and you could also decide when you want to work.

Had a great time at Jaba Jan, the tasks were easy and simple, we didn't have many guests staying during my time here so can't comment on what it would be like when busier. The location is great for nature lovers being slightly out of the center of palomino gave us access to the best beaches in the area just a short walk away and also access to the river right on the hostels property!

Jaba Jan is one of the most interesting places I had the pleasure to visit in Colombia. I had never been so close to nature before, with a night sky full of stars and access to a private beach and river. Being there allowed me to experience the local cultural and make a lot of international friends at the same time, as the volunteer team is quite big. The tasks are rotated weekly, they are easy to handle and the hours are quite flexible. Unfortunately my charger did get stolen fom reception one night, so I would advise to be very careful with your belongings.

During my time at Jaba Jan I really enjoyed getting to know the other volunteers and locals working there! It was so nice chatting and spending time going to the beach and into Palomino! Rio San Salvador leading down to the beach is beautiful and a great spot for seeing the sunset! The work was very chill and easy and we all had a lot of free time!

Jaba Jan is a great place to connect with nature and meet a lot of interesting people! It's so beautiful next to the river and perfect distance from the town (not too close/far). Gracias a German, Cecilia y Margory para hacerme sentir como en casa :)

This was a great place to volunteer while having unlimited access to great swimming and great people. The work was very easy compared to any other volunteering I’ve done in South America!

I had a wonderful 2 weeks. It is located right on the river with a private beach 15 minute walk away, which is better & less crowded than the beach in Palomino. There's free yoga classes and activities every day. It's a great place to meet other travelers and the work itself was easy. I worked in the kitchen and would wash dishes and take food to guests. Pizza night and tubing is free for volunteers. But the schedule would come out at 10 pm the night before so you have no idea if you work the next day. Also, we only got 3 free days (including the day we arrived) even though we worked 2 weeks.
