Mate! Tell you what, you cannot beat this place. Rex and Ines are incredible hosts, super chill, kind, sociable and superb divers! The caretakers are incredibly friendly and their kids will make you forget all the problems you think you had. And if they can't fix things, the dogs certainly will. If you're looking for a luxury, modern island getaway, look elsewhere. the host is rudimentary in the best possible way. It's a simple life, and that's all you need. Will be back for sure!

Ines & Rex are great hosts! They really make sure you feel comfortable and you have a good time. We did 2-3hours of work, which was totally fine. Sleeping in a tent at the beach with the ocean sound was super nice! Most of the time we had dinner all together in the evening and played cards. Diving with both of them was a great experience as well, I could work on my buoyancy, did a nightdive and we had a fun day at the shipwrecks. Can highly recommend the place, if you look for some peaceful nature, diving and lovely people :)

I had the best week on the host, I only wish I could have stayed for longer. The island really is paradise! Rex and Ines were so welcoming, really clear with the tasks and ensured that we were always enjoying ourselves.
Whilst I was there Rex did my advanced open water PADI qualifications and he was such a great teacher. I especially enjoyed the wreck diving! On our day off I visited Culion with the other volunteers which was really enjoyable too. This is one of the best volunteering experiences I have had and I couldn't recommend more.

Staying on the host was an experience I will never forget. Rex and Ines were fantastic hosts who communicated well before we arrived and were always around to chat to during the stay. If you are interested in snorkelling or scuba diving, the host is the perfect spot. The island has its own reef which you can explore at your leisure. They also offer scuba diving course, which I completed during my stay, and I can't think of a place I would feel more comfortable diving. To top it off they also have 3 dogs and a puppy in their little island community. I can't recommend this enough - thank you

The host was truly a remote island experience — sleeping to the sound of waves, receiving daily dog snuggles and all this surrounded by pristine, warm waters. As a diver it's a very special place with abundance of wreck dives but even snorkeling with baby sharks was thrilling. Was lucky enough to see puppy Ube arrive to the island as well! 🐾 Rex and Ines were welcoming and accommodating hosts and knowledgeable divers. Diving never felt rushed and they even gave me a friendly price for my Nitrox course. Work was flexible and as described. Check their Workaway for other reviews! :)
