Program Details

Up to 20 hours per week, spread over 5 days, with 2 full days off per week. You and the other helpers agree the weekly schedule together, and it is shared in the group chat every Sunday. In exchange you receive free accommodation in a shared room, with use of the kitchen, Wi-Fi and laundry.

Your first 2 days include an induction: a tour of the property, how the main tasks are done, where supplies are kept, and who to contact for problems. After that, we expect you to take initiative and learn small things on your own, and we're always available if you get stuck.

Activities & Shift

Cleaning: rooms and shared areas after check-out, following the cleaning checklist provided.
- Light maintenance: changing bulbs, reporting faults, small fixes.

We expect helpers to be proactive: if you notice something that needs doing within these tasks, go ahead. For small fixes, look up a quick tutorial (e.g. on YouTube) before asking. If you're unsure, or it involves electrics, plumbing, or anything risky, stop and ask first.

Occasionally we may ask for help with other small tasks. These are always by agreement and count towards your 20 hours

Rules

- If something isn't working or you have a concern, tell the owner directly or in the group chat. Raising problems is welcome.
- Check-in meeting every 2 weeks to see how things are going on both sides.
- If either side wants to end the stay, we give each other at least 7 days' notice, except for serious misconduct (e.g. theft, violence, damage on purpose).
- Respect guests, keep quiet hours from 22:00 to 08:00, and keep shared spaces tidy.
