Program Details
Every safari we sell helps support a group of women in Arusha. That’s the purpose behind The Woven Experience, a small Tanzanian-run tour operator, and it’s why we need your help.
Our main goal is to fund Woven Connect, a women’s empowerment project where local women learn tailoring and weaving to build their own livelihoods. The Woven Experience plans safaris across Tanzania and beach holidays in Zanzibar, and the income from these trips helps keep Woven Connect running. The more travellers we reach, the more women we can support.
As a volunteer, your creative work helps make that happen. Depending on your skills, you might improve our website, photograph the women at Woven Connect and daily life in Arusha, run our Instagram and TikTok, or film reels and short videos that show both the safari experience and its impact on the community. Everything you create will be used to bring in bookings that directly support the project.
You’ll live at The Woven House in Arusha with full board meals. As part of the content work, you’ll join a safari to capture Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes firsthand. You’ll also get discounts on activities and Zanzibar stays if you want to travel more during your time here.
This program suits creative, independent people who want their skills to make a real difference. If you’d like to see Tanzania through local eyes and help women here build a better future, we’d love to have you.
