Our experience at the community has been amazing! The nature of Cehegín is beautiful and the philosophy of the community is really interesting, it sparked a lot of riveting conversations and has definitely given us lots to think about! ✨️ We met deeply intentional, creative and fascinating people whom we were truly lucky to share our week with❤️The conversations during dinner, the jam session, the bonding with the animals, the work in the garden... it all holds a special place in my heart! If you have lots of energy and are excited to contribute in many different ways, this is your project! :)

The people there are multi-cultural with impressive and a bit alternative knowledge in psychology, politics, permaculture and about life in general. They were welcoming and nice to me, they even threw a little celebration for my birthday! They were considerate of me but at the same time they kept a little distance, for me as a Nordic person that was great - after working I could enjoy my own time and then at dinner we would be all together, but if somebody wants to develop a stronger connection then it depends on that person. Also, the work and house-tasks are well structured.

I spent 2.5 weeks in The House. It was a tremendously valuable experience - some of the conversations I had with people there were truly perspective-changing and enriching. I enjoyed listening to Fao classes and having dialogues over the dinner about politics, philosophy, religions and meaning of life. Apart from that, working in the garden under warm spanish sun was extremely fulfilling and relaxing. I learned a fair bit about permaculture and gardening. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience, especially if you are a dog lover - they have 10 beautiful doggies there! :)

I'm grateful for the time I've spent in this community and for the many lessons it offers. Living and working together here creates a space for meaningful growth, self-awareness, and learning how to relate more consciously with oneself and others. The community provides valuable hands-on experience in permaculture and sustainable living. At the same time, it invites learning on a body, mind, and soul level — through self-reflection, psychology, responsibility, and navigating group dynamics. Thanks for the Experience. I highly recommend it for other volunteers as well. Warmest regards, Felix

I left earlier because I didn't feel comfortable. They have a specific worldview that doesn't align with my values. The tasks were good, the location is beautiful,3 extra hours were expected on the first day.Despite high expectations for communication, expectations were not clearly conveyed. The host's perspective was presented as fact, while mine was dismissed as irrelevant. Things were accused of me that, in my view, were not true. Over time, clear power structures became visible in the community. My feedback was not taken seriously.Departure should be quick and contact with the group kept low

Hi Louisa, we are sorry to hear that your experience wasn't good. On our side we felt very unsettled when you disrespected a blind guest at our place, and you refused to acknowledge your own behaviour. As the other people was there when it happened we were obliged to talk to you in order to keep a good atmosphere and companionship. When talking with youwe were even more unsettled about your denial on the topic and your comments on certain old German "ideologies". It is unhappy you forgot those.

I'm writing only facts to help future volunteers avoid misunderstandings. the community has 4 organizers, several volunteers, 10 dogs, 3 indoor cats, 3 semi-wild cats, and one visually impaired person. Work is well organized with clear instructions. Bring bug spray. Besides the 25-hour schedule, you'll have rotating daily chores (cooking, cleaning, feeding animals, kefir, etc.). You're also expected to spend some free time on cultural exchange and help the blind resident navigate daily interactions. Failure to meet these expectations may result in abrupt expulsion within days.

Noah's statement that volunteers were expected to spend their free time guiding our blind resident is completely false. Our blind team member is fully independent and has never required volunteers to guide him. In fact, he teaches echolocation internationally. We find it unfortunate that blindness was presented as a burden rather than simply a characteristic of one member of our community. We encourage future volunteers to judge people by their actions, rather than assumptions or stereotypes.

Me and my friend stayed at the community for about two weeks and had an absolute great time! Everybody was super welcoming and kind. We even had the chance to take classes in yoga and martial arts, which was really cool! The place in general was very clean, all of the animals were super friendly and the food provided was healthy and nice! Work tasks were flexible and versatile. Overall, we had an amazing, respectful and interesting time! Thanks to all of you!!

I realy liked the warm welcome and the way they tried to make me feel at home. They was flexible with the working hours. And if a project took longer than they thought,we could easily adjust the timeframe. I choosed to leave early because the philosophy of the community was too stifling for me after a while. Essentially,if famous thinkers say the same thing, then it is the Truth for them.So they started living a lifestyle in which: our feelings only apply to us,and in case of an argument, if we refer to feelings,it has no substantive basis for them. What has is science. Thx for the experience.

Hello! My experience in the community has been rewarding in many aspects, I feel that I have learned quite a few varied things and that makes me feel very complete with the experience! I must highlight that it is a respectful and fairly calm environment. And the animals are charming, they behave very well. Then the experience with the tasks is varied, there are several types of tasks but what’s true is that they are until Saturday, although there is flexibility. There are some tasks that also require a good level of physical aptitude but nothing out of the ordinary for some field tasks. I really appreciate what I’ve learned!!❤️
