The volunteers were amazing, and I had a great time with them. I also loved the dogs, Mia and Lluvia. The owner and manager were nice. However, this was the most physically demanding volunteer role I've done. Although it's listed as 4 days a week, one of the 3 days off is spent cleaning the second building where volunteers stay. Most days, one volunteer handles housekeeping for the hostel, second building, and a private home. On the night of my last shift, I developed a fever due to body aches and had to ask the manager not to assign me extra work the following day.

The hostal was great, Maria (the administrator) takes well care of her volunteers, she always tells you the tasks upfront, they can be very hard at the beginning, like cleaning and reception duties, but is just until you get used to. The people around the hostel are very nice, and if you're as lucky as I was, you'll have other amazing volunteers that will help you out and make you laugh when you need it.

Edwin, his brothers, and Maria were always available and ready to help; they were truly superb! The central location of the hostel made it incredibly convenient to explore the city. My stay at the hostel was really amazing ! I had planned to stay for a short time in Bogota, and I finally ended up staying for 4 months in this city, just because I loved so much volunteering at the hostel ! Edwin, Alvaro, Huveymar and all the team are caring and super kind, always making sure you have everything you need, they are also super funny and we really had a good time together, for sure you won't get bored ! They also have a lot to teach about hostal and restaurant management, and I learnt a lot from them as they are super patient and pedagogical ! Come and see !!!

I had a great, great time with Edwin and everyone! Super friendly people, and very generous, I felt at home. The two meals provided are large and very good food. The work was relaxed and I always felt appreciated and welcomed. Would 100% recommend to everyone. The hostel is a bit far from the touristic centre, but its very easy to get there using just one bus. The neighbourhood is very safe and beautiful and has a few flea markets, shops, restaurants, parks and even a hiking trail. A very nice experience!

It was an incredible stay. If you feel you're going through a sad moment, this place is perfect: there is such a beautiful energy that you feel part of the family from the moment you arrive. (And the bed was a thousand times better than mine! 😂).

Agradeço a Edwin pela recepção, um ótimo anfitrião. Sobre o trabalho na limpeza, no primeiro dia parecia ser bastante coisa, mas eles têm vídeos explicando como você deve fazer tudo, então é bem fácil de aprender, tudo ocorreu como combinado. I’m very biased when it comes to speaking well of Colombia 😅 but the experience only made my perception of Colombia *the coolest country in South America* even better 🇨🇴❤️🔥 I recommend it without any doubt!
