It was a really cool experience to live in the Jungle🌴☀️. Romi and his team are really nice and welcoming he always makes shure that the volunteers enjoy their stay. I learned a lot about the culture and the jungle. Good to know is that the life there is simple and calm, if you search a quiet, peaceful place it is perfect. It is also close to the river in which you can go swimming which is so cool. If you are ready to live in a more modest standard of accomondation i would recommend it.

Romi is a very welcoming, friendly and humorous host, the type of guy you can hang out with after work. Working times were flexible and respected. Around Batu Ridi you can go for a swim in the river or explore and walk along it, I even saw an Orang Utang!:) All in all a perfect place to calm down, learn about the culture and reconnect with nature. Would recommend!

I was anxious and worried initially, but Romi, the host, was very prompt and helpful in answering all my queries. He was very patient and assuring. I chose to volunteer with Batu Ridi Jungle as I would like do something for our Mother Nature. Romi has many plans in the pipeline. We shared ideas, brainstormed and did some planning for his projects. I hope my ideas and social media skills are helpful. Romi is also an experienced jungle trekking guide. I learned a lot from him. This is my first volunteer assignment, it was enriching and a fulfilling. Highly recommend for the farm.

My time spent at Batu Ridi jungle with Romi and the gang was certainly unforgettable! The work is super easy and Romi is such a nice guy! He's super laid back and loves a laugh. Him and his team are very generous. They cooked all our meals and were always able to give us rides to wherever we needed to be (atm, supermarket etc.) keep in mind it is the jungle, so the ammenities are basic. However, if you want to live like a local then i'd definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely experience, very good if you want a break and to be in the middle of nature. Basic facilities and good food. There wasn't much to do while I was there, but you can still explore the local village and bring cash for jungle treks.

Spent a little over a week in the jungle at Romis place it was great. His place in the jungle is incredible and you truly feel at peace in the jungle. He has a great project going trying to protect the jungle and its ecosystems and also to add multiple huts to accommodate more people/volunteers. His family were so kind and chill evenings spent playing guitar and talking. The meals were some of the best I’ve had on my trip very good. It was nice trekking into the jungle to see orangutan’s and lots of monkeys for free too. Love.
