Program Details
By applying, volunteers agree to respect the house, staff, and local community of Dar Nomad, to follow the daily schedule and safety guidance given by the host, and to treat this experience as a cultural exchange rather than a paid job. Volunteers are expected to communicate honestly about their arrival, length of stay, and any changes to their plans. Dar Nomad reserves the right to end a volunteer's stay early in case of disrespectful behavior, safety violations, or failure to participate in agreed activities.
At Dar Nomad, volunteers join our daily rhythm of restoring an old family kasbah by hand. Mornings begin together — preparing breakfast and lunch, cleaning shared spaces, and organizing the day's tasks. From there, you can choose to help with painting and decorating, building and repairing, farming, or gardening, depending on your skills and interests. Afternoons often leave room for drawing, art, or exploring the wild desert landscape around us. This is a hands-on, slow-paced program built around contribution, connection, and genuine desert life — not a checklist of chores.
