🎭 Community & Lifestyle
Your personal goals are important to me, and I’ll do what I can to support you while you’re here. From exploring the area, getting into certain activities, or working on something more internal.
Porto has a lot to offer, and depending on what you’re into, we can dive into things like:
Ecstatic dance, sound journeys, and medicine circles
Climbing centres and other fitness options
Live jazz, electronic music, and plenty of local culture
I also play field hockey twice a week, and it would be great if you’d like to join.
I’ve lived in Porto on and off for five years, so I’m happy to help you find the things that resonate with you or explore new things together.
🎄 Availability
From December 7th. Ideally for a couple of months, but I’m open to flexibility around Christmas. You’re welcome to join me in whatever holiday plans take shape.
If this speaks to you, send me a message with your skills and what motivates you to join an eco-community project, and your realistic commitment in hours per day.

Activities & Shift

🚧 The Project: Help Restore a Hidden Portuguese Quinta (10 Buildings!)
This is an exciting, hands-on renovation project rather than a finished homestay. I work full-time remotely during the week, so I'm looking for people who enjoy working independently, solving problems, and seeing the direct impact of their work.
The property consists of 10 traditional stone buildings, and we're currently focused on restoring the first one so we can welcome more volunteers and gradually bring the whole site back to life.
🛠️ Current Projects
🏡 Renovate the Communal Kitchen & Living Space Help transform the main communal area by plastering, painting, repairing ceilings, tiling floors, and improving the roof's waterproofing. The kitchen is functional with a cooker, sink, and plenty of herbs and spices, but we're working towards creating a warm and welcoming shared space.
đźšż Improve the Bathroom There's now a proper indoor shower installed with running water. The next step is connecting the electric hot water boiler, so you'll be helping complete this important upgrade.
🌿 Gardening & Nature The garden is large, wild, and full of potential. It contains plum, fig, lemon, orange and persimmon trees, along with bay leaves and wild mint. A stream runs through the property, and we're gradually clearing it to uncover more of its natural beauty—possibly even a small waterfall.
⚡ Green Energy Experiments If you're interested in sustainable living, there are opportunities to help develop small DIY hydroelectric and solar projects to make better use of the stream and reduce reliance on the grid.
đź’Ş Who Will Enjoy This?
This project suits people who enjoy building, creating, learning practical skills, and tackling rewarding challenges. It's not luxury accommodation—it's an opportunity to be part of restoring a unique property while enjoying life just outside Porto.
