You agree to comply with the following guidelines for Hosts and Travelers when using our Services. Depending on the type of experience you purchase on our Service, you also agree to comply with the trip guidelines available at https://www.worldpackers.com/terms/trip_guidelines.
If you are using the Service as a Host, then these additional terms apply:
When Posting an Opportunity, the Host will: (i) provide complete and accurate information about the Accommodation that the Host is offering (such as description of the intended help, help offered in return, location where this exchange will take place and calendar availability); (ii) disclose any deficiencies, difficulties and restrictions inherent to the place or position and requirements that apply (such as a minimum Traveler age, proficiency or physical size required for a particular Opportunity); and (iii) provide any other relevant information as requested by us. Hosts are responsible for keeping all information regarding the Host's Opportunity updated at all times.
Hosts are solely responsible for establishing the conditions for the Accommodation. Once a Traveler applies for an Opportunity and the Host accepts such application, Host must contact the Traveler and enter into an Accommodation Agreement with Traveler that addresses any terms and conditions, or other details regarding the Accommodation.
Hosts will not include any terms and conditions in Host's Opportunity or any Accommodation Agreement that conflict with these Terms.
Host acknowledges that the placements and ranks of Opportunities on our Service depend on a variety of factors, including Traveler preferences, search parameters, Host requirements, calendar availability and position description, number and quality of the images, cancellation history, and Reviews.
Upon a Traveler's arrival, Host will provide an orientation to Traveler covering safety protocols, project objectives, daily schedules, and local customs.
Host will offer ongoing support to Travelers throughout their stay, addressing any concerns or issues that arise and otherwise facilitating a positive experience.
Host will provide a safe living and working environment for Traveler, including being prepared for and having a plan for medical emergencies.
Host is responsible for providing Travelers meals and accommodations that are in accordance with a Traveler's dietary restrictions and allergies specified by Traveler when applying for the Opportunity.
Host will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including with respect to health, safety, and volunteer well-being.
Host will comply with the obligations set forth on the Service, and not engage in any activities or requests that contradict the terms established.
Host is responsible for offering the promoted benefits as described on the Opportunity, including but not limited to accommodations, meals, volunteering activities, certificates and any other offerings.
Unless you are purchasing an Epic Trip, Travelers may only apply for an Opportunity available on the Service if the Traveler is a Member and has complied with and completed any other requests established by us or by a Host.
All Opportunities and Internships are subject to acceptance by the Host. Travelers understand that an accepted application for an Opportunity or Internship is a limited license granted to Traveler by the Host to enter, occupy and enjoy the Accommodation and other advantages agreed upon for the duration of Traveler's stay, in accordance with the Accommodation Agreement. For the avoidance of doubt, Epic Trips are not considered Opportunities and do not require any acceptance by us or a Host.
Traveler agrees to leave the Accommodation no later than the date and time specified by the Host in the Accommodation Agreement unless otherwise mutually agreed by Traveler and the Host. If Traveler stays in the accommodation beyond the agreed period of checkout without the consent of the Host, Traveler understands that Traveler is no longer permitted to remain at the Accommodation, and the Host will have the right to remove Traveler in accordance with applicable law.
Traveler is solely responsible for all costs related to the Accommodations, including food, airfares, ground transportation, serious illnesses, accidents, and any other travel expenses, whether or not such expenses were unanticipated.
Traveler is responsible for leaving the Accommodation (including any personal property or other property located on the Accommodation) as it was when Traveler arrived.
We do not cover any personal property damages or losses and are not responsible for theft or damage during any Accommodation, Internship, or Epic Trip. We encourage Travelers to contact local authorities and communicate with our Worldpackers team about any incident that occurs at an Accommodation, Internship, or Epic Trip.
