Since its foundation in 2014, the Worldpackers Community has been committed to working collaboratively to create a resilient and integrated landscape, where people’s needs are met and the environment prospers. To accomplish that goal, we created the following community-based initiatives:

Worldpackers’ Ecological & Social Sustainability Award

Every year, Worldpackers travelers will have the chance to vote for our Top Hosts at Ecological and Social projects and select the 10 projects that will receive a USD $20,000 prize to further amplify their impact on the world.

You’ll be able to vote on May 1st, 2024!

The donations will work as follows:

  • 1st place US$5,000
  • 2nd place US$4,000
  • 3rd place US$3,000
  • 4th place US$2,000
  • 5th to 10th places US$1,000

Beach Clean Ups

Since April 2021, Worldpackers has been organizing Beach Clean Ups to directly support 3 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our community has gathered to over 70+ Beach Cleanups so far.

Impact of Beach Clean Up

The Beach Clean Up is much more than just picking up trash from the beach. It impacts an entire chain of people involved directly or indirectly in the action.
