Christelle is a very positive person and handled all her tasks given with finesse and ease. She was a great asset to the team and gave 100 percent all the time. She is also efficient in all that she does and highly recommend her.

Overall, I personally enjoyed my 2 weeks at the hotel. I wouldn't say it was the best volunteering experience I had, but it wasn't the worst either. The location is a bit far out and inconvenient if you're on a tight budget; it would've been better if we had at least 2 meals included, but the rooms were nice as well as the facilities. Darren and Anthony (the managers) are very special people and pretty much the reason this experience was so memorable. The tasks were relatively simple (breakfast duty and general help) but it did lack organisation and structure. Thank you!

Christelle was not only a volunteer, but she also frequently managed many tasks. We are really appreciative of her diligence and neatness. She completed her tasks very quickly and graciously took the additional work we frequently assigned to her. We were impressed by her warmth and coordination, and we knew she could handle things. Dear Christelle, It was a pleasure working with you. We need employees with your skills, and it's likely that we'll officially welcome you to our property for the upcoming season.

Wow.. another wonderful experience with Worldpackers. This experience was the first that was actually "serious", with a contract, fixed hours (11-3pm), a schedule, and responsibilities. I love having different types of experiences and this one was definitely one of the most memorable. I was in a dorm of 9 people total (mixed guests and volunteers) but it was super comfy and I got the rest I needed. The team was great, the long term guests are amazing, and all the travellers I met were wonderful. I actually might even "move" to Slovenia after this experience, it was that magical! Thank you!

That special time where you have to write a review.. that you know every single future volunteer will read :) First of all i'd like to thank Dave for the wonderful 2 weeks I spent in Kitzbuhel. Dave is one of those people that you will probably never forget (or remember) throughout your life. This whole experience can be very insightful and you can learn A LOT.... if you want to. If you're more the type to want fixed hours and need to be told exactly what to do - this is not for you. Be adaptable, flexible, have a sense of humour, be up for adventure, avoid meat, and... bring a towel ;)

About me as an author

ambr

28 y/o Singaporean/French female traveler. I started backpacking with Worldpackers in August 2020: I said goodbye to my Parisian life and bought a one-way ticket to Mexico. Since then, i've spent 7 months there, backpacked all through Central America, lived in Manchester (UK) for a few months, traveled all around Europe (I have 12 countries left to visit before I would've seen all European countries).. I had a little pit stop in Athens from August22-January 2023 and I resumed my trip on this side of the world with Panama in February, and now I am in South America. My long term goal is to open up a wellness hostel in South America, which is why i'll be traveling all through the continent until I find the right location, or opportunity :)
