Hi!
We are a family, running one of the best hostels in Sofia, Bulgaria. We are travelers ourselves so our goal is to make our hostel a comfortable and homey place to stay for people who want to discover Sofia and Bulgaria and find new friends from all over the world.
The hostel itself is a big house with capacity of 26 people. There are 3 dorms and 4 double rooms.
We need enthusiastic people to help us.
It's very important that we keep a friendly and happy environment at the hostel.

The help we need is not hard to do, but requires day-to-day attention. The main help is about keeping the place presentable and clean, getting rooms ready for the guests, watching reception and some small tasks. The robot vacuum cleaner also helps in cleaning. Usually all the tasks don't take longer than 5 hours (cleaning takes 1-2 hours the rest of the time is reception), so there's still enough time to go around. We need people who are hard workers, responsible, and friendly with good communication skills and who can work in a team.

It's the place for who's needing more alone time for a while. I enjoyed my stay a lot; after a long long journey, I took a necessary rest here. If you're more of a partying person who loves a lot of socialising time & various events, I'm sure there're other places in Sofia for you. The hostel is cheap and accepts guests from any background, sometimes you'll need the patience to deal with everything. But all the tasks are doable, Bartel and Alex are very friendly, and, the most important one, there are cats!

My time at 10 Coins Hostel was very chill. The work was as described, but I didn’t receive much training and the communication could have been better. It’s outside of the city center for feels more residential and isolated. It was a big change of pace. It’s not a social hostel so you have a lot of time by yourself.

A very quiet hostel to work at! Each shift has allocated cleaning tasks, but once those are done you can hang out in the reception area. It’s an older building and has its quirks, but is clean and comfortable. Very close to the metro that makes it easy to see Sofia on your time off.

I had a nice time at 10 coins. The work is easy and you are trusted by Alex and Bartel to do it. It’s very quiet, but I didn’t mind. And the room for the volunteers was always warm. The grandmother of the hostel, Asya is very sweet and takes care of everyone. It’s a good place if you’re looking for a chill volunteer experience.

Since it was my first experience, it was good. You can feel very welcome and respected. Asya one of the guest she’s always there and you can have fun with her and also helping her cook, she’s like the grandma of the hostel. It feels very familiar and you all the time end up having a good relationship with all the volunteers and also with Bartol the supervisor:) you have a lot of free time to do whatever you want around the city or at the hostel. I think if you need to rest a little from all your tiring trips, this is a great option to consider.
