We are searching for a volunteer for 1 month or more.
Hi!
We are a family, running one of the best hostels in Sofia, Bulgaria. We are travelers ourselves so our goal is to make our hostel a comfortable and homey place to stay for people who want to discover Sofia and Bulgaria and find new friends from all over the world.
The hostel itself is a big house with capacity of 26 people. There are 3 dorms and 4 double rooms.
We need enthusiastic people to help us.
It's very important that we keep a friendly and happy environment at the hostel.
The help we need is not hard to do, but requires day-to-day attention. The main help is about keeping the place presentable and clean, getting rooms ready for the guests, watching reception and some small tasks. The robot vacuum cleaner also helps in cleaning. Usually all the tasks don't take longer than 5 hours (cleaning takes 1-2 hours the rest of the time is reception), so there's still enough time to go around. We need people who are hard workers, responsible, and friendly with good communication skills and who can work in a team.

As my first experience with volunteering at Worldpackers, I really enjoyed being here. Tasks are very easy and quick to perform, Barthel the manager is extremely polite and always very available. Alexey is the owner, despite speaking basic English, communication was always good, he was always available via telegram, always responding quickly to whatever we needed. In general it was a very good experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for their first experience as a volunteer, here could be a good option. To me it was great because I could practice my Spanish and my English.

It was a great experience to get to know Sofia and Bulgaria. The work is easy and you have a lot of free time to get to know the city. It's perfect for beginners.

My experience at 10 Coins was awesome! I really felt welcomed and part of a family by working here. The staff is very responsible and helpful. The manager, Barthel, is very friendly and is all the time available to help if we have any questions. The owner, Alexey, is all the time connected and ready to answer any question that we have on Telegram. The tasks are very easy, usually we finish all the cleaning in 2 hours and the rest of the shift we just need to stay at the reception to help some guests. I extremely recommend this hostel.

Minha experiência foi muito positiva! O time foi acolhedor e respeitoso com as tarefas e horas de trabalho. O hostel está localizado um pouco fora do centro da cidade mas possui fácil acesso ao transporte público.

It was a great experience. I felt welcomed and part of the team: Barthel is the manager and he always could help me understand the tasks, Asya is the old Lady that is always making good and local food, and Alexey it was always available to talk but online. As my first experience volunteering I’d totally recommend Ten Coins. I did trips and climbing in Vitosha Mountain by the hostel. The Hostel is very quite and familiar, it’s a place to know new people and chill in Sofia. Also is close to the metro station so you can go to the center every time you want to just 1,60 Leva.
