A Nova Floresta - Permacultura & Bioconstrução

Anovafloresta is a reforestation and land regeneration program. Our focus is environmental education with Permaculture. Volunteers are considered as students participating in diverse projects and 4 hours of theory in Permaculture; regenerative agriculture and bioconstruction, each week. The teaching is simplified and adapted to any level of knowledge among the students.

The exchange between volunteers and the training center works as follows:

Volunteers participate in hands-on Permaculture activities for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. The 5 hours are divided into 4 hours of Permaculture and 1 hour of community activity.

Anovafloresta provides camping accommodation (located on-site, 990 m from the beach) with rooms and Wi-Fi and intensive Permaculture training (4 hours of theory per week)

Volunteers must bring a camping tent and camping kit (camping mattress, clothes, blanket, …). Camping tents are bought in town. We can rent a camping tent for 35 reais per week (without mattress and sheets). Accommodation in a room when available has an additional cost. The beds have a mattress; you need to bring sheets and a pillow.

We speak Portuguese, English, and French.

Volunteers are seen as members of the community, as students, and as ambassadors for sustainability. In this context, there is a great exchange of knowledge about ecology, agroecological solutions, and approaches to building a sustainable habitat integrated with environmental services
