Adventure in Afurada

📍 The Location: Nature, History, and Porto Vibes
Afurada is a historic fishing village that offers a great balance of tranquility and access to everything Porto has to offer.
Riverfront Access: 5 minutes’ walk to the Douro River and Afurada Marina.
Explore Freely: Use the e-bike, regular bike, or trike. Cycle along the river towards:
The Atlantic coast through beautiful wetlands
The Port Wine Cellars and into the centre of Porto
Convenience: Arrabida and Gaia Jardim shopping centres are just 600m away.

Your personal goals are important to me, and I’ll do what I can to support you while you’re here. From exploring the area, getting into certain activities, or working on something more internal.
Porto has a lot to offer, and depending on what you’re into, we can dive into things like:
Ecstatic dance, sound journeys, and medicine circles
Climbing centres and other fitness options
Live jazz, electronic music, and plenty of local culture
I also play field hockey twice a week, and it would be great if you’d like to join.
I’ve lived in Porto on and off for five years, so I’m happy to help you find the things that resonate with you or explore new things together.

Jonathan was a very steadfast and good-hearted person! He welcomed me very well, was respectful and helped with everything I needed, including lending me a bicycle to get to know Porto more quickly and easily. The space is simple, well located, quiet and has good energy. The service is somewhat open, allowing you to choose what you prefer to help there in the house. There is another resident around there named Ed who is also a very friendly person and who likes to talk and help others a lot.
I am very grateful for the brief period I stayed there.
Thank you, Jonathan and Ed!!!!! :)

Jonathan was a very welcoming and warm host. He feels passionate about his project and doesn't fail to inspire. Unfortunately I had to leave earlier due to health but even for the short time I was there I enjoyed having my tiny part in the project.

Jonathan was extremely generous and kind to me. I had a wonderful time and he made sure that I was taking part in a project that I was I personally passionate about. What a wonderful place space to stay and engage in. You really feel like you're in a true Portuguese neighborhood. The neighbors are extremely friendly, and I learned a lot.

Staying at Jonathan’s place was a really good experience overall!\nThe location is great, quiet area close to the riverside and the beach, but still just a few bus stops from the city.\nThe tasks were not too much and clothes and equipments were provided! It was hard to get used to the cold showers, but on hot days it was quite refreshing:D\nJonathan communicated everything very well, made sure we feel comfortable and welcomed! He suggested good places in Porto, invited us to his activities and had good talks with us.\nHope i can go back in a few years and see hows the place:)
