Albergue de Artieda

We are a municipal hostel-restaurant located on the French Way of the Camino de Santiago through Aragon; we are a passage and stopover point for pilgrims and tourists. We also run a small and quiet campsite with pitches and two bungalows; especially aimed at campers, vans and motorhomes.

Artieda is a town open to the outside world where during the high season it is visited and lived in every day by people from different backgrounds. Perched on top of a small hill, our views of the Pyrenees are outstanding. Artieda is a small, close-knit and rebellious town, which entails a very close coexistence with the rest of the lxs inhabitants. It is for this reason that we understand the importance of community life, intergenerationality, and a very active social life so that in our town beautiful things always happen.

Geographically we are located in the Jacetania comarca (Viello Aragón), in the Aragonese Pre-Pyrenees and bordering Navarra. Artieda is 30 minutes from Jaca and 50 minutes from Pamplona (by car). We live in a town inhabited by about 40-50 people for most of the year and double that population in high season (summer). Artieda is a town very active socially and culturally. Although it is a small village, we have a high density of young, committed and activist people. Our hostel is also a daily meeting point for all of us.

My experience with Artieda was wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I felt very welcome. The people are very warm, the place is ideal to disconnect from everything because it’s far from everything, so if you’re looking for this kind of experience I recommend it. I have very good memories, people and friends above all. Thank you Artieda💚
