Amaroo Sanctuary

Welcome to Amaroo Sanctuary, a regenerative living project in the Chocó Andino cloud forest in Mindo, Ecuador.

We are a small, multicultural team with a strong community spirit, working together on gardens, land stewardship, creative projects, hospitality and cultural exchange.

Life here is simple, hands-on and connected to nature. In your free time, you can explore the cloud forest, rivers, waterfalls and trails around Mindo, or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings.

We welcome people who enjoy sharing skills, meeting different cultures, working together and being part of a close-knit community

Our team brings together different backgrounds, skills and experiences. Each person has a role in keeping Amaroo running, from land and project coordination to hospitality, cooking, maintenance and community activities.

Volunteers can expect a friendly, respectful and supportive environment, with guidance when needed and space to work independently. We encourage open communication and a relaxed atmosphere where everyone is treated fairly and their contribution is appreciated.
