Hi my name is João ! I have a lot of work to do: tending to the land, planting, progressing on the house construction, and taking care of the animals, and I need help. I enjoy teaching and doing things together. There are options for fun in nature, such as the beach and waterfalls. i live 1 week with my 2 children and one week alone. My focus is processing cacau and we can learn to make chocolate ! I go to the farmers market every saterday to buy fresh orgânico foods só I apreciate a voluntáry contribution to help with expenses. João is a very attentive and calm host with whom you can talk about very interesting topics and who enjoys sharing his knowledge about cacao and healthy eating. Also a good yoga teacher. His kids are very funny. Always grateful!

My volunteering experience was very enriching and full of lessons. During this period, I had greater contact with nature and learned about sustainability in practice; I also tended the garden, planted yam, and had experiences that made me value caring for the environment even more.
Moreover, I was warmly welcomed by the host from day one; he was very receptive, flexible and always kept a light and positive energy, which made all the difference in my experience.
It was a volunteering that provided me with many new things. It was perfect.

I am super grateful for this experience. I spent an amazing time in the nature, helped in the garden, making chocolates and paçoca power and with ordinary house tasks. João is a very good father and super nice and welcoming person!
I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to peacefully reconnect with nature for a while, learn about Brazilian fruits and plants and see beautiful sea and waterfalls. GRATIDÃO :)

Volunteering at the site—the project—was very cool! If you’re looking for an immersion in nature, near the beach, it’s the right place! João is a friendly guy, with a lot of knowledge to share... and he does so whenever he can. I learned about plants, fruits, and I was able to acquire some knowledge about the work (yoga too, hehe). The schedules and demands are flexible, and he cares a lot about giving the opportunity to get to know the surroundings better; I found that sensational on his part. The lodging is simple and pleasant, worthy of a place in harmony with nature!

There were weeks of a lot of learning and connection with nature.
The space where João lives looks like a treehouse; it's almost enchanting, as in children's books.
He knows quite a bit about the territory; the site is a living school, always attentive to the little animals that surrounded us.
I learned about cacao, PANCs, and organizing beds for planting; we planted corn and cassava.
Besides the several new recipes unlocked that I will add to my diet.
I experienced the Caiçara way of life through João's children, who are very precious.
The yoga practices added even more to the experience.
