Araucária Hostel
We are in a city where tourism is still very small, and we are working to foster this sector. We want to create one of the largest hostels in Brazil, and make it a reference in the country. We have just bought the space, and we want you to be part of our story.
Nice to meet you, my name is Beneth, and I started my story with tourism since I was young, traveling around with my parents. In 2016 I did a 9-month backpacking trip that transformed my life.
Between 2018 and 2019 I spent 14 months traveling by car across Brazil, and now, back in my hometown, I want to make the region a powerhouse in tourism.
I have worked as a volunteer in hostels in some places around the world, having good and bad experiences. I want to welcome you as part of our family, and ensure that you, in addition to helping us build a new hostel, can enjoy and get to know the local culture.

The hostel is an excellent place with a privileged location in Sao Bento. Its dynamic with guests is more hotel-like than hostel-like, without this being something bad. Its team is highly helpful and attentive; they strive to have you enter as a client and return as a friend. The values they stand for are evident, and that is something that is missing. The interest in the human issue is strong. As for the tasks, the freedom was almost total to make a piece of art of your own; I managed my times and they gave me a lot of comfort to develop it freely.

The hostel is the most beautiful and organized hostel I have ever visited. It has small rooms, with on average only one bunk bed per room, which provides excellent tranquility when sleeping. The breakfast is sensational and I had total freedom to produce the drawing on the wall of the room in which I drew. The drawings in all the rooms are very well made, which imposes a certain standard on the quality of execution and a reflection before using experimental techniques, but I was able to produce my own pastel chalks with alkyd varnish and I thought the final result was very good.

Este fue mi primer voluntariado y realmente supero todas mis expectativas, Beneth es un excelente anfitrión, atento y relajado, és flexible con los horarios. En mi caso tenía que realizar un mural en la habitación y me dio la libertad para crear el mural a mi gusto. Nos llevo a pasear con otro voluntario. El equipo que trabaja en el Hostel es muy amable y atento a las necesidades de uno, además que el lugar brinda comodidades de excelencia: es muy ordenado y limpio. Me sentí muy cómoda en el espacio y con todas las personas que trabajan y son parte del Hostel ¡Altamente recomendable!

O hostel é um lugar diferenciado! Primeiro pela valorização da arte e dos artistas, ao lado de cada obra tem uma placa apresentando informações essenciais sobre quem a executou. É um espaço ativo, com muitos hospedes e toda uma equipe de camareiras, cozinheiras e recepcionistas trabalhando para a organização do espaço que se destaca pela limpeza, simpatia dos funcionários e também pela rica e generosa mesa de café da manhã. Localizado na charmosa São Bento do Sul, Beneth o anfitrião que já viajou dezenas de Países ao redor do mundo te faz sentir em casa. Recomendo!

Foi meu primeiro voluntariado e gostei bastante da experiência, o pessoal é bem receptivo e as instalações do hostel são boas. Logo de cara já tive a oportunidade de participar de uma trilha com rapel, que foi incrível! Meu trabalho foi auxiliar no café da manhã, sendo que na maior parte dos dias a atividade é tranquila e nos finais de semana pode ficar mais intenso. Tive bons momentos de confraternização com o pessoal, inclusive algumas jantas maravilhosas que fizemos juntos! Agradeço a todos pela experiência e em especial o Beneth, Nico, Gigi, Tamires, Diogo e Joel. Um grande abraço!
