Bauwasi

Sorry, from now on I have to be stricter in selection process ON THIS PLATFORM.

Don't apply if:
- You claim any kind of supremacist views (cultural, economic, gender-based), racism, or conspiracy-theory beliefs (constantly thinking the World is against/threatening you).
- You can't speak or understand Spanish and don't want to speak English either.
- You haven't read the position description properly.
- You provide false information in your introduction/profile.

In some cases, as part of the selection process, I will ask to have a video/audio call. I may ask official documentation of your mental health. I prefer NOT to host people from the United Kingdom or the United States of America.

INTRODUCTION
This is NOT a hostel or an airbnb business, but a personal project aimed to become an educational & cultural spot in the neighborhood. It means, you will NOT work following a set of rules to make profits for a business, but to participate with ideas/creativity/emotions/action to develop a social-aimed venture.

Please, before introducing yourself, which is very nice, ask me if the days you apply are available to welcome you. Applications are accepted according to the order of arrival and mutual agreement :)

BASIC BENEFITS
- Wide garden, bedroom/hammock/place to camp, living room in tiny wooden house, little kitchen. They all are simple. Any area is shared.
- Breakfast and lunch will be provided the work days. Free use of the kitchen.
- Schedules are quite flexible, so you handle to organize your work hours/days.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
- Welcome cocktail or typical Peruvian meal.
- Detailed advice on transport or interesting spots in the area or the country (I've traveled in 24/24 departments of Peru).
- 2 travel bicycles available.
- Travel tips, guide book loans, magazines and national tourism sketches.
- Spanish lessons (I work online as a Spanish teacher sometimes) and immersion in Peruvian cultures.
- Tourist guidance, camping or traveling together (depending on the common motivations).

IN THE AREA YOU MAY VISIT:

- Temple of Pachacámac (one of the most important oracle sanctuaries in Abya Yala)
- San Pedro Beach, El Silencio beach, Punta Hermosa beach among others.
- Islands of Cavillaca (2 km from the coast, its name is based on a beautiful myth. Coast has marine wildlife).
- Large museums
- Lomas de Lúcumo (flora and wildlife of a desert ecosystem moistened by sea breezes, with greater splendor between May and November).
- Diverse restaurants (fresh seafood and fruits from local fields).
- Ichimay wari (neighborhood of southern craftsmen).
- Nursery gardens.
- Inochy Lútico Center (Collection of stones from different regions)
- Cerro Centinela (It has an Inca cemetery on the top, demanding hard trekking).
- Near Chilca (UFO sighting and contact area, archaeological ruins, beaches, energy pools with medicinal muds, local gastronomy).
- Near the cemetery of Nueva Esperanza (the second largest necropolis in the world).

Don't hestitate to ask anything if you have further queries.

I spend most of my time in the germinal project of Bauwasi, where I live alone. I usually receive travelers and volunteers of different platforms.

What else? Just ask me, I am eager to talk. I have a degree in Philosophy and other in Anthropology, with concluded master studies in Epistemology. I enjoy travelling, mostly by bicycle. I've travelled and lived in other Latinamerican countries.

We could cook together Peruvian food, have some drinks, chill out in free time, have long walks in the sand of the beaches, trekking in the greeny paths of the hills, feed animals, play games, enjoy the sea or little lakes waters, laugh of bad jokes...

Welcome. Warm greetings! :)

I had a really great time staying at the home's little farm/future cultural vecinal center ! the home is a great host, always here if you need anything, super interesting conversations we had, great knowledge of Peru's history and culture. He's also a great guide when it comes to know the best place to visit and best food to try. I strongly recommend this expérience :)
