Biovilla Sustentabilidade

We are a cooperative for sustainable development. We believe our future depends on living differently.

We exist to show that it is possible to satisfy all our needs without compromising the future in an economically viable, socially responsible and environmentally positive way.

How? By living regeneratively!

We align our actions with the laws of nature, in order to generate life around us, in everything we do. Through the implementation of a set of regenerative practices, we walk toward a healthy, harmonious and just future.

We are nature in regeneration!

We cooperate, co-create, undertake, promote conscious consumption and invest in the real economy in the way we act.

We nurture the connection with nature, raise awareness, teach and empower for the importance of integrating regeneration into the way we live.

We rest, share, co-habit in a family space in the middle of Arrábida Natural Park.

We capture, save, produce and supply energy from solar energy.

We prepare and preserve healthy foods that are 100% organic.

We estimate, treat, plant and care for local species.

We recycle, reuse, consciously use and do not pollute water.

We reuse, manage responsibly and prioritizing reuse and actions that promote waste.

Foi um mês incrível no anfitrião! As pessoas e toda a equipe de voluntários estão de parabéns. A comida é surpreendentemente boa, com muita variedade, e me adaptei super bem à alimentação vegetariana.

Volunteering with the host was a very pleasant experience! Schedules are sent on Sundays and there is always a possibility of adjustments, in addition to the tasks usually consisting of tidying up rooms and assisting in meal preparation. Some important points: the host is located in the middle of the Arrabida mountain range, so it is at least 8 km from the nearest towns, besides not having mobile data, although there is Wi‑Fi everywhere. As for meals, even those who are not vegetarian have nothing to complain about, as there is an abundance of fresh and prepared foods, in addition to the staff being very good in the kitchen.

One month with the host: one of the most special experiences I’ve had. I carry with me a suitcase full of lessons about life in community and a more conscious way of relating to food, nature and the environment, more fluid, simple and light. The host is a beautiful place, in the heart of nature, where it’s very easy to feel connected. I leave with a full heart and grateful for so much generosity. The dream they share there of creating a healthier and more conscious world stays with me. 100% recommended.

Volunteering here was an incredible experience! I was welcomed with a lot of kindness and respect by everyone from the first day, especially by Ini :) The place is a true sustainable refuge; it is inspiring to see up close the care that Joaquim and Léo have for the land. The tasks are well aligned and, although the internal work is demanding and intense, the daily exchanges and practical learnings make it all worthwhile. I leave with a heart full of the friendships I made and with a strong desire to return soon! I recommend.

I am very grateful for the experience, the special people I met and the comfortable place I could stay in these four weeks. It is very close to nature, in the middle of the Arrábida Serra, there are some great trails to hike, it is calm and peaceful. It is not near bus access (a 3 km walk on an unpaved road), buses do not pass frequently, using Bolt or Uber ends up being expensive, sometimes you can get a ride. The volunteer work can be tiring depending on the number of retreats and guests, the staff at the place are few in number and sometimes overwhelmed us. I wish success to everyone, thank you very much to the host :)
