It is a hostel where style, comfort and hospitality meets. Which is why we offer a big amount of different rooms. It contains a reception with a bar and sofa area, so that it is possible to enjoy the social environment with the other guests. At the very top of the hostel you will find the kitchen and a wonderful rooftop, where you can sit and enjoy your meals with the greatest view and a chance to spot the Sagui monkey. The hostel is located in a friendly neighborhood and no more than 3 blocks from the famous Copacabana beach.
The staff always welcomes you with a smile and makes you feel included. They are a big part of the work as a volunteer, which is why they care so much about making you feel at home during your stay. It is always possible to ask them for help, and they will more than gladly give you good tips and advises for your travel in Rio de Janeiro.

Just came back from a month of volunteering at CabanaCopa, and would have stayed a year if I could 🥲. The staff team is absolutely amazing, the sweetest persons ever and the whole volunteer team is usually very close-knitted, they will most likely feel like travel buddies rather than 'co-workers'. The location is ideal, 5m walk to Copacabana beach and basically at middle point of everything you wanna do in Rio! The work was really fun, and i loved that there were set times for our shifts so that everyone would be on the same page and we wouldn't be asked to work more than we should. miss it!!!

La experiencia en Capabacopa fue buenísima, todos me recibieron súper bien. La ubicación es buenísima, los horarios y el trabajo se respetan y mejore mucho mi inglés y portugués. Gaspar fue quien me recibió y el trato siempre fue muy cordial, muchas gracias a él por todo! Recomiendo a toda persona que esté con ganas de conocer la cultura de río y de practicar idiomas elija Cabanacopa sin dudas!

Amé hacer mi primer voluntariado en este Hostel! El personal, los voluntarios y los huéspedes son muy amigables, respetan el horario de trabajo y cumplen con los beneficios que ofrecen. Me gustó trabajar en recepción, el trabajo es sencillo y la experiencia muy bonita, regresaría a trabajar a este Hostel mil veces!!! Los voy a extrañar mucho Helena, Werner, Victor, Rafael, Yasmin, Fabi!

I really enjoyed my time at Copacabana for various reasons!
-One, the team is tight knit and really works well together. From the manager, the workers,
bartenders and volunteers, everyone has a good vibe and good energy. I found myself making friends with the staff and guests and we often went out to explore Rio together.
-Two, the location is perfect. Only a 5 minute walk to the famous Copacabana beach, you will find yourself drinking caipirinhas in the sun in no time! Also - the Metro stop is only 2 minutes walking from the hostel.
-Three - I joined a samba school while I was here!

I really enjoyed staying at cabanacopa! The breakfast and reception work is really simple and chill. The hostel is located in a great area in Rio with subway, stores, restaurants and the beach really close! I really recommend volunteering here for a welcoming and fun experience. Unfortunately I couldn't extend my stay, otherwise I would. I loved getting to know and spend time with the staff, other volunteers and the international guests that stayed there. Kisses and hugs go out to Melany, Marc, Amanda, Ale, Paloma, Ana, Gaspar, Vitor, Fabi and Isa :) <3
