Casa Khadijah

You will be able to experience working on a remote permaculture project in a beautiful area of North East Spain in the mountains.

We are 6 kilometres from the nearest proper road and sometimes encounter wild boar, deer, rabbits and other wildlife whilst travelling on the winding dirt tracks to the finca.

The nearest village, Maella, is a lovely place to spend some time chatting with the locals in their unique variation of Spanish.

Maella is well served by intercity buses and the nearest train station is in a town named Caspe, which connects you to all of the cities of the region, including the airports.

We are building a small, sustainable, permaculture farm with a mix of old and new technology, lots of healthy food and exercise plus fresh unpolluted air and water! This is an area where locals regularly pass 100 years of age!

The farm is about 8km out of Maella, so nature pure! It quickly felt like home. Amanda is a very lovely host. She likes to talk and has a lot of stories to tell:) I could da lot of different tasks like chopping wood, harvesting almonds, planting trees, doing some electrical stuff and much more. For me personally, it was really interesting to learn about sustainable farming and the philosophy of permaculture. All in all it was just an amazing experience!
