Our location cannot be beat! Kraken Hostel is located in between the church of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the main square (adjacent to the city hall). We are also a block away from the main area of the Malecón: the seahorse statue and the outdoor amphitheater (right next to Los Arcos). We are located in the heart of Vallarta's downtown, just a few minutes away from the main beach and a great variety of bars, art galleries, night clubs, restaurants. etc. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly hostel.
Hey there! We're a backpacker hostel located right in center of Puerto Vallarta. We like having fun! We like going on adventures during the day, and going for a night out on the town. We work hard and we play hard. We strive to make our place as clean and comfortable as possible, and love getting into projects and artwork. We host backpackers from all over the world, and we treasure the social time we spend with them

Estar en Casa Kraken ha sido una de las mejores cosas que me ha pasado, desde el momento en que llegas la forma en la que te reciben es muy bella. Las personas que conoces se vuelven como familia y Adela la dueña del lugar está siempre abierta a hablar y resolver todo. Las horas de trabajo son respetadas y en general son actividades muy sencillas. Fue mi primer voluntariado y desde el principio todos me recibieron muy bien, enseñandome de una manera fácil para que yo aprendiera bien. Los voy a tener siempre en mi corazón <3

El mejor mes de mi vida!!! Voluntarear con casa Kraken ha sido la mejor decisión, hay un ambiente de respeto y amor y te hacen sentir como en casa, todos los demás voluntarios son muy lindos, Adela (jefa) y Abel (encargado) son personas lindisimas que siempre ven por tu bienestar. Sin duda volvería a voluntarear con ellos 🩶🩶🩶🩶

I have had a great experience there, the hostel has a good location near to supermarkets, bars, night clubs, restaurants, bus stops and of course the beach,
At the rooftop you can find an amazing view.
Adela is a nice person with a big heart, she is always caring about the volunteers and the guests, like a great mom.
About the volunteer job it was everything perfect, they gave me a schedule and taught me what I had to do, all the shifts time was respected and I could have a nice time with the other volunteers and guests.
Casa Kraken has a special place in my heart ❤️

Esta fue realmente una buena experiencia. El hostal está en una ubicación perfecta y sus instalaciones son cómodas. Los trabajos son muy sencillos y durante poco tiempo a la semana. Tuve la oportunidad de conocer a mucha gente que me enseñó muchas cosas, nuevos idiomas, nuevas culturas, todos siempre amables, tanto huéspedes como todas las voluntarias que estuvieron al mismo tiempo que yo. Gracias Adela por tanto, espero volverlos a ver algún día.
