Cecropia Ecolodge

Our natural hostel is rustic with peaceful surroundings; if you're looking for a place to disconnect from the city, this is the place. We also offer cultural exchange since we are local Costa Ricans, and you can practice Spanish and learn typical Costa Rican recipes.

Cecropia is a natural hostel with only 6 rooms, many gardens, trails and forest; we are few people to avoid high environmental impact; in total we are 3 people currently.}
Nohelia - Administrator
Jay - Administration
Alex - Maintenance of gardens and organic orchard.

Nohe is a wonderful person, attentive from the first moment and always with a smile. She taught me a lot about fauna and about the rainforest, she always took a moment to explain to me and tell me things of my interest. She is a great host, she made me feel at home. The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature and in the mountains, so if you love nature and tranquility it's a great option. I had a room to myself, the food always local and exquisite. There are also little animals that will keep you company if you want and will share their affection with you. Thanks to the accommodation, Thanks Noe 🫶🏽

Well, what can I say about this MARVELLOUS experience! If you really are looking for a best friend for life this is for you; Noe meets all the expectations and more! I especially highlight the exceptional cleanliness and the exquisite Costa Rican breakfasts, Noe takes you to get to know the local culture and to have fun with her tribe (friends) I carry them in my heart, each one!! Not only did I learn about the culture but to connect with everyone, feeling at home. And you will fall in love with Kaia (Noe's dog) she will be your loyal companion and the kitties Cookie, Cabecita and Aria will steal your heart! I will return with love Zari

The lodging welcomed me very warmly!\nNohelia is a very kind person, with a smile and a good disposition; she was always attentive to make sure I was comfortable; we didn't lack laughter and walks together, I had a great time, I met very pleasant people and learned a lot about the rainforest, the cloud forest, and more!\nWithout a doubt I would recommend this volunteer program; it was great, if you’re looking to connect with nature, regarding the work; the tasks are quite varied but nothing complicated, Nohelia explains everything very well.\nAnd I will definitely miss Nohe's delicious meals, a hug and I hope to return someday!

It was a beautiful experience, with incredible hosts. My daily tasks were to prepare breakfasts, clean the bedrooms and common areas. The food Nohe makes is delicious, always something new and healthy. And the night walks with Jay too; it's another world—the forest at night.
Thanks to both of you for sharing your knowledge and passion for nature and for everything ♡
I hope to come back someday and see that velvet 💚🐍
